The thing is, when he brings his A-Game he's not boring. Err... that's not Rock WANTING to work with Randy, that's Vince wanting Orton to work with Randy. Rock at that time wouldn't have that much creative control/choice, now he does, and he's pretty fond of Punker. Plus that doesn't really count because at that point Rock was working much more dates than he is now and Batista, Flair and Foley were ALSO in the match. Punk is getting a Title Match at a BIG PPV with Rock, one on one. Sorry.

In your first post, I intentionally removed your little rant about "Randal" because I never made a comparison or anything. I was just clearing it up regarding the things Cena/Orton/Punk have each said about The Rock. And yes, Punk can have his moments too, but personally, I found him boring 95% of it. But again, that's subjective so there's no point discussing it.
As for Orton/Rock. You've got it wrong. In 2004, Rock's appearances were all rare and he had fully stopped being a full-timer. He made FIVE appearances in the entire year of 04 and only appeared twice for the WM20 tag match. I wouldn't say that's "working much more dates". Actually, he's made more appearances this year than in 04. Plus one of his post-WM appearances was actually in a segment with Orton. I'm sure they would have worked something out in form of a match had The Rock's contract been renewed for 2005. Besides, who's to say a match between them is not gonna happen at some point next year? Maybe Orton gets pushed again and they can work something out for SummerSlam. Because who else is there for The Rock to face from the roster? Cena, Punk and Orton are the top choices. (Bryan is an interesting choice but WWE clearly doesn't like him and always books him like a geek. Ryback is not ready for such a high profile match-up.) And if his "I'm never leaving again" comment is meant, I'm sure it means he'll return every now and then to have a few matches here and there.

Completely agree with this statement. WWE has three full timers now who can be plugged into these so called "dream matches" and Orton has definitely reached that point in his career. Multiple world titles, a Main event at Wrestlemania, fantastic worker, and being one of the most popular wrestlers of the last decade puts him in that spot with the other top two guys in the company ; Cena and Punk. If Rock never leaves, Orton should be built up for a match with him at Summerslam or Survivor Series or something.
They need to build Orton back up though, honestly. He never loses one-on-one matches on PPV anymore (Wrestlemania was the last for that) , and you can't just stick him in random filler feuds forever. METHINKS he'll turn heel and beat Sheamus @ Wrestlemania in a non-title match before switching over to Raw in a WWE Championship feud. Fuck, if Rock were to go over at Mania with the belt, there's the guy he should drop it too right there (besides Punk of course ) at Extreme Rules.
Ryback shouldn't be put in these dream matches yet, mainly because he hasn't earned the right to be in the same ring as Rocky, Brock, Taker, or Trips yet. If we got an Orton-Rock, Orton-Brock, or Orton-Taker Re-feud in the near future I would be all fucking for it. Orton is one of the only stars of this era with "dream match" potential.

Wish The Rock would see my tweets. I'd definitely ask him about a match with Orton if I stood a chance in getting a reply.

Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion
I honestly would prefer to see Rock/Orton over Rock/Punk and a Rock/Cena rematch.
At least with Orton he's proven that he can hang with the best like he's shown in his 2009 heel run when he was on fire and with his run as the Legend Killer without actually having to resort to cheap ways of keeping up with someone who's more skillful on the mic and if he goes back to either of those characters I just mentioned then I could imagine, finally seeing a Rock feud which is based purely on storyline, especially given Orton's sadistic and intense character where we wouldn't be hearing 'Dwayne' or 'waaah you left us and i'm here every week' as it would be out of place for him to say that. With Punk however saying those things are pretty much part a core aspect of his character and whereas with Cena, they based the story on him calling Rock out for everything he's accomplished outside the wrestling industry just for cheap ways of gaining sympathy and a cheap pop.

I've tried tweeting him about 50 times but never been successful. But it's still worth a try, just wondering how many hours from now will it start? I don't go to twitter very much nowadays, so it might pass me by if I don't pay attention.

Well said. Plus the match would no doubt be great.
