I doubt Cena would constantly whine about "Dwayne Johnson" had Punk not constantly whined about "Dwaaaaaaaaaayne" on promos he had nothing to do with. And from the look of things, he's STILL doing it, as suggested by calling The Miz "Mike".

I'm scared that they might actually have him feud with Undertaker for WM and he'll actually call him "Mark".
That would actually be hilarious,Make it happen!

As long as the feud doesn't become all about simple name calling and/or "I'm here ur not" or "_____ is trending on twitter", it doesn't matter to me what they call each other. The feud needs to follow a very basic formula to be successful. Rock wants the WWE Title for the 10th time and to complete his journey. Punk is the unstoppable champion and has been for 400+ days. Have Punk GTS/get the upper hand on Rock one more time before the RR and then at RR, have Rock claim the WWE Title. It's very basic, but it's all they need to sell the Pay Per View match (for those few it isn't sold for by The Rock simply wrestling). Throwing in little jabs here and there is fine, but at the end of the day the feud should be mostly about the WWE Championship, Rock's desire to win the title, and Punk's ambition to keep it and main event Wrestlemania.

Edit: Also, I really don't get why Punk haters constantly go back to the same two things over and over again when hating Punk. It's always "He's a ratings killer!" or "He calls people by their real names so he's a fucker!" I mean, I don't think I've seen more than one or two posts pointing out the fact he's been cutting virtually the same promo week after week for the last 4 months. I would've thought haters would've jumped on that months ago, but yet besides maybe an odd post here or there, it's barely been mentioned.
They'd have to be watching to notice he's cutting the same promo . Seriously though, he has haters in the same way every wrestler does, the reasons for hating them can be whatever and its likely whatever reasoning they can think of at that particular time, I wouldn't look to much into it.

Slightly Random but just watched the AE Documentary, makes you laugh and be infuriated at the same time, they basically explain why the time period was such a success and then don't seem to realize they could atleast try to do similar stuff today (while they give veil and underlining comments like it was the stars from that Era that made it as well as the competition which they feel they have neither)

The only thing I can put it down to is, they feel Wrestling is in a downtime no matter what and don't want to bring back the good times for a time period that won't draw regardless.

Rock hasn't been advertised for all RAW's from TLC to Mania.
If he starts appearing via satellite again, fans will really turn on him this time especially if he's the WWE champion.
I hope the WWE doesn't water down the Rock this time.

I can picture Punk talking to the Rock on the mic saying "Dwaaaayne this Dwaaaayne that". Then The Rock cuts him off and says "listen here Punk, from now on you refer to me as The Rock, The People's Champion, The most electrifying man in aaaaall of entertainment etc blah blah". I think it would be a good way to start off the feud and set a clear no real-name calling "rule".

Another worrying thing comes to mind here. If Rock starts to own Punk on the mic (which is likely), do you think Punk would be immature enough to do to Rock what he did to Miz? (Talking over him in their promo). If he does then he is really a selfish idiot.

WWE won't make Rock own their poster boy on the contrary they will make another horrible attempt of making Punk own Rock which I am worrying about.

Actually Cena still is and will probably be the poster boy for a long time.

But I get your point, but if Rock is winning the title then they won't make Punk own him on the mic. I just hope WWE says to them "here is your mic, go out there and entertain the fans".

Since when did promos start to become about burying (non-kayfabe) and one-upping the other man like it's some sort of contest? I'm with Starback Santa Game on this one, the shits irritating and I want to see two characters create an entertaining story not some shoot BS for smarks.

I initially replied to your post mentioning Randal, you replied to that and didn't mention a thing about the "subject". But if you insist, Punk being boring is fairly subjective, I enjoy his work and so do a lot of other people, granted he's been put in awful storylines for the majority, if not all of his reign, but that's completely out of his hands. The thing is, when he brings his A-Game he's not boring. Err... that's not Rock WANTING to work with Randy, that's Vince wanting Orton to work with Randy. Rock at that time wouldn't have that much creative control/choice, now he does, and he's pretty fond of Punker. Plus that doesn't really count because at that point Rock was working much more dates than he is now and Batista, Flair and Foley were ALSO in the match. Punk is getting a Title Match at a BIG PPV with Rock, one on one. Sorry.
