I'm sure they'll claim The Rock getting a title shot despite not being a full time wrestler is an injustice. I doubt it will stop him from winning the WWE title.

I'm wondering what part they will play in the Rumble itself. Will they be entrants or will they cause the elimination of someone like Ryback or Cena or both.

Don't see it happening. Hype for this one started back in July and it's starting to heat up. WWE does some bullshit things a lot of the time, but to not keep this a straight, one-on-one match with a decisive winner would be a terrible way to start off the year and Wrestlemania season.

Let Ambrose, Rollins and Generic Big Guy Who Doesn't Speak For Lack of Mic Skills do their thing with Ryback or be in the Rumble. They belong nowhere near the Title match.

I saw someone just mention about THE SHIELD interfering in the match, it seems highly unlikely but I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility. Here's hoping for an Attitude Era finish with a hundred run-ins from THE SHIELD, THE RYBACK, BORK, UNDERTAKER, CENA, TRIPLE H, VINCE, SHANE, LINDA, and finally MICHAEL P.S. HAYES

I don't think it's all that unlikely tbh. During the build up, its pretty much a lock Punk will mention how it's an injustice Rock just walks in here and gets a title shot. From that point of view, I could definitely see a shield run in during the match though its doubtful (imo) that it'll effect the result.

He's getting it at the Rumble and dropping it at Wrestlemania in the weeks between he'll do a bunch of publicity and Wrestlemania will do 1 million buys again. Seems like a pretty solid plan to me.
