Re: Backstage news on Vince and Rock ending Punk's championship reign
I really don't get the people who say Rock is playing politics or has a big enough ego to suggest that he should be the one to end Punk's reign. Rock had no problem jobbing to anybody in the past, in fact he lost more than he won in big matches overall in his career. I'm sure Rock would have no problem losing to Punk if it were booked that way.
I think Punk going over Rock would be a HUGE deal for Punk and really take his reign up to the level that it should have been hitting by now. Plus I can imagine the reaction of the Punk haters the next morning being hilarious . The hate and butthurt streaming down their keyboards .
I wouldn't have a problem with Rock winning the title at this point however.

I agree with this decision, as much as I like Ryback he isnt ready yet. Rock ending Punk's reign is the perfect ending to Punk's reign. Held the title for over a year and lost it to a legend/on of all time greats, doesnt hurt Punk and makes sense.
Re: Backstage news on Vince and Rock ending Punk's championship reign
Rock winning the title would be awesome, and seeing Just1988 and Sharkboy22 whining is a cool bonus
however it could go the other way and Punk retaining in the form of a screw-job finish, which would be cool too if it was Lesnar who interferes
anyways I can't wait

Re: Backstage news on Vince and Rock ending Punk's championship reign
I think the way to go is have Cena interfere in Rock's match at the RR, and have Rock interfere the rumble and throw out Cena.
Punk would retain and brag about his streak, which would lead in to the Undertaker returning to end his streak at WM, we get a streak vs. streak. and Cena vs. Rock rematch.

I call BS on this report. That's just not Rock at all based on everything else we've heard. I doubt he could give a shit about being the one to end Punk's title reign. He just wants to put on a great entertaining match for the fans I'm sure.
The report is believable in the sense, the only way I assume Vince mcmahon could have convinced The Rock to work a jan ppv like Rumble and third Wrestlemania in a row despite the rock's busy movie schedule, is by offering him the WWE title.
Royal Rumble hype is gonna be INSANE. Still a little skeptical to if Rock will go over, Brock is lurking. There so many booking decisions that can be made, gonna be crazy. Rock holding that title in the middle of the ring would be a sight to see thou. Y'all remember that Hogan beat HHH for the undisputed title a long time ago, only thing was, Hogan was a full timer, so it was easy on the booking.

- As noted last night, it was announced to the live crowd at last night's RAW from the Cajundome in Lafayette, Louisiana that the Rock would appear at the RAW taping from the Cajumdome on Monday, February 18, 2013. The announcement of the Rock's return was said to have arguably gotten the biggest pop of the night. That episode of RAW falls the day after the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view from the New Orleans Arena in New Orleans, LA. The Rock is also scheduled for the January 28th episode of RAW in Las Vegas, which is the night after the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
Getting the biggest pops and he isn't even there. :Rock
