Re: Backstage news on Vince and Rock ending Punk's championship reign
He HAS to lose it to Rock at this point though, because of how they've booked things, I can't quite believe how a feud as fresh as Punk/Ryback was in September has been ran dry already by them constantly going back to it, I would held off and seen what they could have got out of those two at WrestleMania but we certainly can't get that now.
Regarding Rock winning and certain people being unhappy, they'd be fine with Taker/Punk at WrestleMania for the belt sounds great even though Taker isn't even part-time but a one show a year guy, but they'd be fine for Punk to drop the title in that scenario.

I will be major pissed off if Rock takes the title, he doesn't need it and the shot is undeserved.
Build up some of the young talent Vince, stop relying on your nostalgia.

Re: Backstage news on Vince and Rock ending Punk's championship reign
The best way to solve this problem is simple: Make Punk go down like a fighting champion if he were to lose to The Rock. Remember Randy Savage's year long reign was ended by Hogan, but the reign could have looked better if they allowed Savage to kick out of the Big Boot/Leg Drop. I believe the same could be said in the way Jericho lost the title to Tripe H at WM 18.
If I were booking this match I would let Rock hit a Rock Bottom but let Punk kick out. Rock could have a shocked look on his face. Then have Rock hit another about 2-3 minutes later for the win. After that Rock should have a look of "relief" that he finally put Punk down.

Re: Backstage news on Vince and Rock ending Punk's championship reign
What is this backstage information??
Are you kidding me? It's obvious that Rock/punk for the title was planned long ago!
Or do you think because Ryback was over during one Raw ( i said Ryback, not his catchphrase) they thought for one minute, giving him the title?
Then what? He would face the rock at the rumble. I don't think so. Or even worse he would lose it to punk one ppv later.
Come on!

While I agree that The Rock shouldn't, by any means, win the title, I don't think anything he's "undeserving" of such a thing.

Talent/charisma draws. Not size.

Re: Backstage news on Vince and Rock ending Punk's championship reign
The internet cant keep getting their way: Punk got to work with Daniel Bryan, he retained against Cena several times, he held the title for over one year. If I were a Punk fan I wouldn't be expecting any more, especially since we all know how rocky the relationship is between Punk and management.

I wouldn't worry about that bit, Rock loves to sell and sells like a God. Any moves Punk hits Rock with Rock will make it look like it is slowly wiping him out of existence, when he fought Cena at times it looked like he was dying.
Punk will end up looking strong from his Rock feud, problem is whether that's enough, yes Rock winning would be epic if he shows up enough and looks like an actual champion and yes it would be good business in the short or even medium term, in the long run though I wonder if undermining your number 2 guy for a guy who is never going to be there more the 10% of the year is the best strategy, when in that time you could build up some midcarders or create new stars like how they've created Ryback.
