There are two potential ways we can have Rock-Lesnar at Wrestlemania XXIX , just wanted to ask you guys which one you liked more :
1. Punk beats Rocky via interference from Lesnar , leading to a non-title Brock-Rock match at Wrestlemania XXIX (in this case, Taker comes back and wins the Rumble, causing Punk to be like AWWWFUCKKK)
2. Rocky beats Punk at the Rumble, Heyman brings back Lesnar to get revenge, thus we have our main event WWE Championship match.
However, if we have Rock-Brock at Mania, HOWDAFUQ do you book Cena-HHH-Punk-Taker ? I could care less honestly, as long as we get three singles matches between the 6 main guys and not some bullshit triple threat match. Rock-Brock would legit reach 2 million buys though.
I'd go with option 1, but have Ryback win the rumble instead setting up Punk-Ryback for Mania (although on the slim chance Austin was available you could set that up instead), have Cena face Taker, and I'm not really sure what you'd do with HHH, he could take a Mania off or there's maybe the chance of him doing a program with Henry (strange I know, but after summerslam I remember Henry tweeting something about wanting to face HHH).
Don't get me wrong, Brock/Rock does seem like an earth shattering match, but what does it leave for the rest of the card? What do Punk, Taker, HHH, Cena, Ryback, Sheamus and Orton do?
Imo, the most logical card would be:
WWE Championship:
Rock vs. John Cena
World Heavyweight Championship:
Ryback vs. Big Show

First, I think your card probably is the most likely to happen but let's say Rock/Brock was one of the main events, the top of the card could look like this:
Streak Match:
The Undertaker vs. John Cena
The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar
WWE Championship:
CM Punk vs. Sheamus
The only issue with this is in reality Punk's probably not going to hold the title this long.
World Heavyweight Championship:
Ryback vs. Big Show
Not sure what to do with Orton. I was also thinking Orton/Sheamus but maybe after Mania. He's been in mid-card feuds for the last three Manias so maybe that continues in a match with Bryan or Ziggler.
I won't be surprised if they fucked the WM card badly, by having Triple h vs Lesnar II , Rock vs Cena II , Sheamus vs Punk , Taker vs Ryback
that would be the biggest let down since the Invasion, I mean how often do you have names like Rock, Taker, Triple h, Brock Lesnar, John Cena, and CM Punk in one PPV ?
they could have many great matches from that combo of names, it would be a damn shame if they went with the worst combo

lol Taker vs Ryback, I might actually skip Wrestlemania if that happens

However, the problem with having so many big matches in one PPV is that it lessens the impact of the match results, and who closes the show is problematic. Punk/Ryback. If Ryback wins the title in the middle of the PPV, or even in the penultimate match, it's good for him but wouldn't him, standing tall at the very end of the show, doing his pose, chanting his catchphrase with pyro going off, make an even bigger impact?
What about Taker/Cena? If Cena beat taker in the middle of the show, that sure isn't a fitting end to the streak. But putting it last implies it's more important than the WWE title match, which it is, but after a year of building Punk up as a dominant champion, doesn't it sort of cheapen their efforts?
Unless The Rock is in the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania this year, I can see the title taking a back seat again. Well, it may get 3rd biggest match on the card. I don't necessarily have an issue with it because the possible big matches are so huge.
Now that it appears I won't be going to Mania this year lol, I don't give a fuck what they do anymore . Haha. I'd much rather they save Taker/Cena for 30 because I want to be there for that. If that means Rock/Brock at 29 then so be it. I have no idea where HHH fits in tbh. I wasn't even so sure he would be having a match but from listening to recent interviews I think he will now. He mentioned Rock, Cena and Brock as the main 3 obviously, talked about getting back in the ring himself and then spoke on Austin/Punk for a bit. No mention of Taker though so maybe he's the guy sitting it out this year. I just don't know anymore. My gut still tells me Rock/Cena for the title is an absolute lock though. I still think Taker/Brock goes down too. I guess that leaves HHH with Punk, otherwise I have no clue what they have planned. I don't think Austin is ever coming back and that all this talk is a load of hype tbh. I just don't see it happening.
Rock/Cena II for the title
Taker/Lesnar for the streak
HHH/Punk with something on the line...possibly HHH's career although I seriously fucking hope not if I'm not going to be there to see it. Talk about rage....:hhh :hhh :hhh :hhh :hhh
Ryback, Seamus, Orton, Punk are all secondary players, hell, probably even HHH too for that matter. The 4 big names for Mania 29 are Rock, Brock, Cena and Taker. The only thing to be decided is who faces who amongst those guys. If Taker is sitting this one out then we're definitely getting 2 rematches in Rock/Cena and HHH/Lesnar. That's the only way I see the latter happening tbh. Rock/Cena is a lock as far as I'm concerned. DAT TWICE IN A LIFETIME
