That would be pretty awesome.

If 60 year old Jerry Lawler could wrestle in a TLC match(2 years ago against Miz), I'm sure Foley could do it as well.

Default Re: Official The Rock WWE Championship Discussion

I can see Rock working WM30. Vince will want to make this show a big deal, and if Rock worked WM29, Vince will do anything to try to get him for 30. They need a special supercard for WM30. But I don't see any reason to save something for WM30. WM29 is a much bigger than 30 only for the fact that it's in the biggest market of all time. Unless WWE are trying to get the 100k Dallas stadium for WM30, and from what I understand they can't do it because something is already booked in advance for that date. Rock/Lesnar needs to happen at WM29 just like Taker/Cena. As for Austin, I really can't see Austin wrestling again, he's talking about a return match for so many years now. It was close to happen with Hogan, Coach, Jericho etc. And no chance that Rock is working second from the Top, that's not happening. His run is not going to last forever, as long he's there, he's the entire show.

Vince also needs to work WM30 IMO. And there's no better choice for his opponent than Ultimate Warrior, that program would be awesome. Warrior can talk about the DVD they did burying him, and Vince tries to show that he's better than Warrior ever was and how he created him. With the strong talk of Warrior headlining the HOF for MSG, sounds like a good time to sign him to a legends deal(If he even wants that obviously). Not a big Warrior fan, would much rather see Goldberg in a return match but the interaction between him and Vince is so rare that it makes it attractive.

Take your pick for WM30:

If WWE thought Brock Lesnar showing up at Hell in a Cell was a "waste" of one of his dates, they sure as hell won't trot out The Rock for TLC.
I doubt the Rock is on as stringent a contract dates wise as Lesnar tbh. But that said I don't expect them to do anything like this - largely because it makes sense and that's a huge no-no right away.

I was thinking that today, like you say, it would help out so much with the build-up to Punk v Rock.

In my opinion, it would work out perfect.

- Ryback gets the win for Team Foley at Survivor Series by eliminating Punk, getting his revenge spot for Hell In A Cell
- Next night on Raw, whoever is GM at the time announces that Foley gets a title shot due to his team winning
- Just have Rock record a promo saying how nice it would be to have a Rock 'n' Sock Connection WWE Championship Match
- Obviously Punk retains the title at TLC

---Now a little fantasy booking---
- Foley gets a No-DQ rematch the next night on Raw with Punk carrying an injury from TLC
- Lesnar interferes due to Heyman, helps Punk retain again
- Rock comes out for the save
- On the 1st Raw of 2013, have it main evented by Punk/Lesnar v Rock 'n' Sock Connection (imagine the rating)
- Rock beats Punk for the WWE Championship at the Rumble, Ryback wins the Rumble match
- Next night on Raw, Lesnar challenges Rock to a title match at Mania while Punk cuts a promo on Austin
- At some point before Elimination Chamber, Austin appears to challenge Punk
- At EC, do the first ever 6-man Elimination Chamber tag match, Lesnar/Punk/Big Show (still WHC) v Rock/Austin/Foley
- Ryback wins the other Elimination Chamber match to retain his Mania title shot
- Have Cena challenge Undertaker, or vice versa
- Leaves you with a Mania main-event card of:

WWE Championship Match
The Rock (c) v Brock Lesnar

Stone Cold Steve Austin v CM Punk w/Paul Heyman

John Cena v Undertaker

World Heavyweight Championship
Big Show (c) v Ryback

i pray to god we fucking DONT. I'm going to be there, and if I need to be subject to watching a broken-down-past-his-prime-best-days-behind-him guy have a go at it in person, I might just go nuts.

Foley is a good guy to use to get other guys over on the mic. But fuck, his work at the Rumble showed how little he still has. It wouldnt be pretty if you extrapolate that to a 30 minute main event.

The only person deserve wrestle for The Rock's Last match is Shawn Miachel or The Undertaker.
Shawn Miachel still the best choice.

I like the second option. Rock has won rumble before, punk has not. Also, Punk is in his prime right now and it would be a nice thing to have under his belt before he retires as GOAT

Actually I think Flair f*cked himself...He had the perfect ending to his career and ruined it.
