- CM Punk spoke with The Soscia Network Radio Show out of Philadelphia. During the interview, Punk talks about why he doesn’t have an endorsement with Pepsi and who he’d rather face at WresleMania; The Rock or Steve Austin.

Just stating what he want's, so it would be cool if it were to happen.

I really don't want the Rumble win to go to a "new" guy. I'd much prefer a win for:

Punk (One of the things he's not yet accomplished which someone of his caliber should)
Jericho (Same as above)
Bryan (Has proved his worth this year and could do a win from early similar to Benoit)

I'm also hoping Sandow is pushed as very smart about surviving, i.e. rolling under the bottom rope, possibly hopping on the ground etc.

All of those would be new guys. Unless you mean someone young and new to the roster like Jinder, or Sandow, or Ambrose.

Punk has been in WWE for 5-6 years, Jericho is an AE vet and Bryan will have been in WWE for 2 and a half years come the rumble.

I meant no wins for Ryback, Cesaro etc.

I think Ryback has been in the WWE longer than Punk according to some. But I see what you're talking about.

I hope they don't go "screw it" and make the rest of the ppv crap just because the Rock is main eventing. I hope they make at least the rumble match stacked.

Cena, Ryback, Sheamus, Bryan, Kane, Show, Henry, Orton, Del rio, Miz, Kingston, Barrett, Rhodes, Ziggler, Rey, Cara, Brodus, Sandow, Cesaro, R-truth, Marella, Gabriel, Ryder, Khali, Christian, Swagger, O'neill, Young, Slater, Mcintyre, Jinder.

There is a base of 31? people I'd be happy with in the rumble not counting Punk v Rock, take away whoever the other matches are and you'll still have over 20. Add in a few old timers and a couple of jobbers/up and comers.

Lol'd when I heard Punk say Punk/Austin is bigger than Punk/Rock. I don't see any basis behind Punk's statement besides personal bias/preference. He's a mark for Austin, has always wanted a feud with him and they'd probably have better chemistry than Rock/Punk given their history and styles though that remains to be seen since the latter haven't had as many interactions.

But besides that, Rock is easily a bigger star than Austin in this age, at all levels and I don't see Austin/Punk (if it were to happen) doing as big despite it being Austin's return match which I'm sure would create a lot of buzz. All I can say is, I doubt you could convince me Punk/Austin at WM could crack the biggest buyrate of all time no matter how flawless the build up and promotion is.
