I think Rock had a hard time addressing the issue that he left for Hollywood and since that was the only topic that Cena wanted to talk about it left us with a repetitive boring feud.

That's a hard issue to tackle for the Rock because he was gone for 7 years. There is a certain percentage of wrestling fans who do not accept the answer of well I have bigger dreams than being a wrestler. To them that's some kind of slap in the face.

The sad thing is I'm expecting more of the same with Punk and Cena once again.

You know what, sometimes a wish Rock just told Vince to shove it regarding the buildup for Cena/Rock.

Definitely one of the worse story lines for a big match I've ever witnessed.

Agreed. One of the worst build-ups to a high profile match ever. If I were Rocky, I would've been tempted to tell them all to shove it and find someone else. 70% of the feud was garbage.

I'm praying we don't get the same with the Punk feud. It's lazy, boring, and not at all entertaining. I just want to see the two of them talking trash and trying to prove who the better man is with the title on the line. How many times do they want to address the fact that Rock was gone for a few years? Nobody cares, because at least he's back now and having the odd match.

It never gets mentioned in Jericho feuds, and essentially he does the same thing. He leaves for a couple of years to be a rock star and do TV stuff, and then he comes back. I remember CM Punk mentioning him being on Dancing with the Stars ONCE and that was it.

TBH, I would've rather they built up the Jericho feud on the whole 'leaving star returning' thing over what they did. <_<

That's one of the reasons why I don't want to see Rock vs Cena 2. The feud was repetitive and have it once again would be a huge let down. Especially when you have Lesnar there to have an epic feud against the Rock.

The only thing different from The Rock today and 2002 ish is his look. The final moments of the Cena feud this year didnt really allow him to be himself but as people have already talked about his return promo, Survivor Series promo, off air segment's, Philly promo and so on show that he is just as much as "The Rock' as he ever was. Swagger included. Go back and watch that stuff and tell me whats so different? Those all had the 2002 ish Rock feel. I dont see the difference other than the look.

The only good promo I saw during Rocky's return was his return one.. which was pretty damn good. I'm sure I've seen the Survivor Series one.. is it the one where he's talking to an interviewer.. if so.. garbage. Where can I see this, just to be sure?

And 2 or so promos don't make him like he was.. he has lost his ability to make me laugh.

The Survivor Series promo is fantastic. Almost ten minutes of Rocky just delivering a great promo to get everyone hyped up, like he used to do back in the day.

The Rock's history lessons in Boston were hilarious and showed that he could still be funny. The way he goes through Cena's merchandise and throws it into the harbour is just awesome.

I agree admiremyclone on those promos and I thought that promo he did with that little boy "John Cena" was funny too!
