Rock's dark promos with Miz were the best things they did during the RTWM tbh. He was a great foil for Rock, great at antagonizing the crowd and you can see how much more into it he was than the stuff they had him doing with Team Johnny. They pretty much ruined him ever since SS though, losing every week and having guys like Ziggler and Punk no-sell everything he said (that shit really, really needs to die) because I've said it a thousand times but if the guys on screen don't take him seriously then neither will the fans

Also about Jericho, there was a bit I found funny during the Rock-Cena DVD where he comes up to Rock for a hug and Rock basically has to push him away after a moment like "Okay bro you can get off me now" y

Rock is smart when it comes to crowd mentality, when he realizes that the crowd not on his side, he plays off a great heel persona during the match

look at the match with Hogan at WMX8 for example, Rock attempted an old heel spot by grabing a chair and trying to hit hogan with it but the referee pulls if from him , then he turns around and receives a closeline from Hogan .. even him selling Hogan's no-sell "Hulking up" as if he just found his mother shot

and during his match with Flair at Charlotte in 2002 , he slides from the ring after flair gets the better out of him, like most heels do .. and the match with Lesnar and that epic facial expression during the sharpshooter , telling the crowd to Fuck Off

The Rock/Miz off-air segments were awesome, especially the one in Philly:

Rock/Jericho, Rock/Tyson, Rock/Show/Gunn and a surprising Rock/Del Rio interactions on the Rock/Cena DVD was cool to see. I thought Jericho probably said to him "go kill this sumbitch" or something energetic like that before the match.

Jericho is one of the smartest people ever in and on the industry, truly "GETS IT" and always great to hear him.

Fun TV match between two legends, also liked their interactions in the WM 20 tag match.

Green Light - yeah the hug between them got a bit awkward, Y2J got a bit overexcited he just couldn't let go.

Rock/Flair had the potential to be a GOAT match if Ric was a few hours younger and it was on a big PPV. Still can't believe that they didn't do it at WM20. Rock/Flair and Foley/Orton was what they should have done. RAW 2002 was a fun match and I'm glad it happened and it's not in the "dream matches" category like Rock/Savage/HBK but to see them working a WM program, stealing the show in the tag match and not actually doing a one on one match on PPV was a big waste. Rock and Flair will always be Top 2 most charismatic and best performers/mic workers of all time, I never saw anyone on that level. Rock/Flair segment even today with Flair in his awesome crazy old man persona would be gold.

If you pay attention to what Rock is trying to do in that match, it's just a masterpiece storytelling and crowd work. I always remembered that spot when Rock, the Top babyface in the industry for more than 3 years at this point, suddenly BAILING out of the ring in heel tactics just to give Flair more crowd support. Started with some mat wrestling, Rock bumping all over the place, made Flair look like a million bucks. When it's not working and the crowd is still not getting it, Rock sends Flair to the corner, and throws a punch, then gives a heel look and the crowd starting to react. Brilliant.

Their WM20 exchange was a spectacle.

"The Limousine-Ridin', Jet-Flyin', Kiss-Stealin', Wheelin'-Dealin', Son of a Gun RIC FLAIR!

Taking on:

The Trail-Blazing, Eyebrow-Raising, Jabroni-Beating, LALALAW, Pie-Eating...Heart-Stopping, Elbow-Dropping, People's Champ THE ROCK!"

After this money promo, you put this on PPV, 500k on the spot.

Ric Flair and the rock should have happened at WM20 as a dream match, imagine the promos leading up to it

That night in 2002 felt special. Rock and Flair had amazing chemistry, it's a shame they only ever had one singles match.

Also, those off-air segments between Rock and Miz were gold and better than most of the actual build up to Wrestlemania. Shows us that The Rock hasn't lost a step and was obviously toned down for his exchanges with Cena.

Seeing as Rocky has a ton of films to promote for the first few months of 2013, do we think he'll actually win the strap at the Rumble?
