When was the last time they held a show in PHX? Based on memory, their crowds are mediocre for the most part.

Love the one here. Flair strutting his way around the ring, Rock does the kip up and Flair walks right into the Rockbottom.
Yeah, last show in Phoenix was MITB 2012. Which had a fiery crowd for the WHC MITB and the WWE Title match. With it being the Rumble and Rocky being there I imagine the crowd will be pretty electric.
I am very much looking forward to the crowd investment. I mean, we saw the reactions of Rock VS Cena and Cena VS Punk. Punk was cheered above Cena, Rock was cheered above Cena. But Rock was easily cheered above Punk on RAW 1000th. With his current heel run going well in terms of reaction, also fact he is facing Rocky, I really wanna see what kind of heat Punk gets and what kind of pop Rock gets.
I should be there and I expect some CM Punk supporters of a small margin but when it gets close, you'll see why he's the Rock and why he's a icon. No one had more energetic crowds in matches than the Rock. Punk has been kind of cowardly and running away from alot of stuff, Sneaking out wins against Cena...I think he and Rock won't have what this board is expecting as a rehash of Rock/Cena build. Punk doesn't need the same kind of protection that Cena relys and depends on when he's in a overwhelming situation.

It's probably they're only encounter which is the ONLY reason I'll suspect a duel chant at some point. Those kind of one off matches brings out real fans that want to support a respected match between two guys they like.

Phoenix should be fine, it's not NYC but Rock announced his match before the ticket sales which will bring a different audience than your average Phoenix crowd.

No doubt, Rock had the best kip ups in the business, nobody in his size could or can do it so smooth like he did. OTR January 1999: "The best pure athlete in the business". This is a good example:

There was also one tag match in 2002 with Rock and X-Pac in the ring, awesome kip up. Rock can still do it, he did it easily on TE last year and on Fast 5, maybe we are going to see a classic clothesline/DDT/kip up combo at the Rumble.
