Anyway, as regards IF Rock/Brock occured. Taker would then need a new opponent. We all know how he has only a few matches left in him at this stage. Let's look at the "top" wrestlers from the roster who are then free:

John Cena, Sheamus, Randy Orton, CM Punk.

Now, the streak has "evolved" so to speak. Each year the storyline is based on it becoming more and more in danger. The matches have always been referred to as "true fights" much like Starbuck had posted about before.

-Randy Orton is not being pushed at the level he was before, and he has already faced Undertaker. So I doubt that he will be in contention.

John Cena, Sheamus, Randy Orton, CM Punk

-I am not one to base things on "look" very often. However here it has to be taken into account. CM Punk simply does not look like a threat, both "look" wise and kayfabe credibility wise. He has only been a top star for a year or so also. This crosses him off the list easily too.

-Now from these two. It is obvious who the most potential candidate is. John Cena. Sheamus is getting very protective booking, and he must go over at the next WrestleMania in my opinion. There is a slight chance, due to his current build in the company, but it is rather miniscule.

They simply won't blow Cena VS Taker at this years mania. They can't afford to.

I think this is a possibility. Most of us are predicting Rock winning the championship at Royal Rumble and that is still a favorable direction to go but I'd take Rock/Lesnar in an epic main event big money match even if it is non-title. Put Mayweather in there as the enforcer (my dream scenario)and it could be the biggest match WWE could put together today.


As for the WWE Championship match, they could roll with Punk holding the title to Mania and face Sheamus who would eventually drop the belt and jump over to Raw someway.

Put 316AE on wwe tv for a month and he'd be the biggest heel in the business.

His gimmick would be to go out every week and talk about The Rock and how great he is. Ratings, PPV numbers, etc etc. 20 minute promo every time.

He does this all year and then Rock comes back and puts him down.

By the looks of things WWE is trying to bring Brock for another year. Logically speaking as much as it pains me to say this Rock v Cena 2, Taker Lesnar at WM 29 followed by Cena v Taker, Rock v Brock (if they can get that match) at WM 30 makes a heck of alot more sense than any other scenario.

Floyd Mayweather's involvement at Wrestlemania 29 could open some other possible scenarios for Brock Lesnar though.

When it comes to advertising, promoting and bringing in the most money putting Lesnar and Mayweather in the ring at the same time brings in the most bang for the buck.

I would not be surprised if there wasn't a Triple H and Mayweather v Lesnar and Show match on the table or something along those lines.

If Vince Mcmahon is willing to turn heel, they could do Mayweather wHHH vs Lesnar wVince for the ownership of the company. That could possibly generate the ultimate biggest buyrate in wrestling history IMO.
