You guys realize buys are only going to keep going down, right? Especially with people streaming PPVs....which is hilarious because the posters most concerned with PPV buys on this forum are probably the same people who have never paid for one in their lives.

Re: WrestleMania 28 buyrate drops to 1.15 million

Rock/Cena, as a feud, was an absolute disaster and the complete and utter opposite of what it should have been. The numbers for their segments together prove it. Mania 28 was still a huge success and anybody saying otherwise is just being stupid. Likewise, Rock/Cena was still a huge success but had they actually made the feud about Rock vs. Cena and not Dwayne vs. John it would have done better imo.

Serves them right for a shit product. Wrestlemania and to a lesser extent, Extreme Rules are the only things worth a damn they've done in the year of 2012.

Re: WrestleMania 28 buyrate drops to 1.15 million

Dave Meltzer said last night that the WM 28 has went back up to 1,216,000 buys worldwide.

He was reporting other PPV numbers. Said No Way Out did 111k in the US. Up from last years Capitol Punishment which did 85k in the US.

WWE PPV number are way up this year. Good sign.

Re: WrestleMania 28 buyrate drops to 1.15 million

Good to know about WM28, so Rock/Cena needs less than 30k in extra buys for the record.

As for NWO, like I predicted, Big Show did tremendous work and SOLD this PPV on his own, check the RAW thread before the PPV, Big Show's promo work and believable case, especially his promo on his entire career from WCW to the WWF on the last SD was great and the crowd was into it in every way, not just the live crowd, but the TV audience as he was doing like he always did, great numbers. Always a reliable draw for 15 years now. Overall first estimate for the Big Show vs Cena PPV is 200k, which will make it the biggest buyrate of the year besides the big 4 and Lesnar's return.

Re: WrestleMania 28 buyrate drops to 1.15 million

I still think it's disappointing this probably won't end up breaking the 1.3M held by Wrestlemania 23. Still an incredible number in its own right, but Cena/Rock should have crushed previous records.

Re: WrestleMania 28 buyrate drops to 1.15 million

Elimination Chamber should remain where it's at. Just like most every PPV it was very thrown together and they had people like Kahli and Santino as front runners going into the event.

No wonder no one bought it.

Re: WrestleMania 28 buyrate drops to 1.15 million

All this because John Cena has main evented every single PPV since TLC. Funny thing is, WWE and a few in IWC will still blame others like Punk.

Re: WrestleMania 28 buyrate drops to 1.15 million

So by ny estimates, these PPV's have been up in numbers in 2012 as opposed to 2011:

Wrestlemania 28
Extreme Rules
Over the Limit
No Way Out

RR and EC are down and MitB numbers aren't in. Great PPV numbers this year!

WWE Top 5 Matches of 2014

1. John Cena vs. Antonio Cesaro - ****
2. Bray Wyatt vs. Daniel Bryan - ****
3. Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton - ***3/4
4. Antonio Cesaro vs. Randy Orton - ***3/4
5. Daniel Bryan vs. Christian - ***1/4
