WRESTLEMANIA 29 - Planning and excitement thread for atendees! 7 days away!

Alright everyone -

The day after WM27 last year, we started this thread in reference to the just-passed WM28. So, let's do it all again and start our road to WM29 right now! Money allowing, I'd freaking love to head to NYC next year. Who's going?!?!

Sounds like a plan. Do you know of anyone who has already sorted their or are you gonig off what you have seen people saying online? Just because if you has see if you can find any info from them as to where is best to look for these types of things. I am definately up for that, gives abit of time to save and as you said, could work out well cheap. Are your brother and mates going again?

#205 ·
Yeah it seems the best way to do it if you're not getting the packages. I know a group that used this website to book this place...http://www.vrbo.com/405888 That's all i have right about now, i've briefly looked up some online and they don't look too expensive.

My bro's and mates aren't going again, it's just going to be me alone this time. I already have 3 people that have said they will do Condo idea with me, so you will be the 5th if you're up for it. If you know anymore people who want to rent the condo with us feel free and ask them because the more we get the cheaper it will become.

I really hope Undertaker is a VIP for axxess this year

Traveled down to Miami this year and after spending money on some stupid things wasn't able to attend Axxess and went home the night of Raw.

I live in NYC so I cannot WAIT. Going to do everything. Might not do the HoF depending on who's being inducted... I think the Rock is an interesting choice given his history at MSG, since I'm assuming that's where the HoF and Raw will be. SmackDown at Barclays Center the Tuesday.

Going to wrestlemania alone?

Hey guys,

I'm 20, from Australia and looking to travel to NYC/NJ for WM29. Unfortunately none of my friends are;

1: Wrestling fans :(
2: Financially able
2: Good with saving money :cuss:

So, Ill be heading alone most likely. What are your thoughts? I've never been to a show alone before. Im also looking to stay in NYC for a week and check it out. Has anyone traveled to see WM? How was your experience??

Thanks.

Re: Going to wrestlemania alone?

You serious bro?

I'm from Melbourne, Australia and i'm planning to go to Mania 29 too! First Mania ever!
Even more excited because of Punk vs Austin rumors. Also REALLY wanna see Taker go 21-0.

OT: That sucks none of our friends like wrestling.
Anyway, enjoy yourself and soak it all in!

Re: Going to wrestlemania alone?

I don't think you will need to go alone. Just find some one from these forums lol. I think every year they meet up at some place? It might be weird talking to some one you have met on the forums. But something is better than nothing :p
I think every year I someone says everyone should meet up and then nobody ever actually sets a meeting up.

Re: Going to wrestlemania alone?

Get yourself there man, its a dream for some people to go to Wrestlemania and on many peoples bucket lists.
Who cares if your on your own, if I had the money I would go alone, just dont stay there for very long.

You might make some friends whilst your there especially more likely if you go the wrestlemania events leading up to the actual event itself.

This is going to be my first mania, decided against going away this year to save for WM. Never been to NY so hopefully be able to do some sightseeing in between WM activities. Going on my own, planning on staying in NY so i can do some sightseeing in between WM activties

NYC would be more expensive but it would be a lot easier to get around without a car. It really depends on where they plan on having all the other stuff. If everything else is in NYC then you should stay there and take a train to Metlife for Wrestlemania. If everything is in Jersey then I wouldn't bother with paying the money to stay in the city. Just take a train/bus/ferry/anything into NYC for the day(s) you want to visit.

Despite the fact that I won't need a hotel or flights for this Mania planning it seems like it will be a lot more stressful since I have really balance everything out with all the people that I want to see the various shows with. Also I have to figure out how to get my little sister to the area from Upstate New York, she's 11 and probably likes WWE more than I do right now I would be a terrible brother if I went and didn't take her.

Packages go on sale end of July. I fully expect details next week

After Watching The WM28 Main Event Where WRITERS PUT THERE ALL EFFORT TO MAKE IT SPECIAL I Am Not Going And Not Going To Waste My Money :p

#223 ·
Still no news!

It's been obvious to me for a while that the 1,000th episode of Raw will heavily point toward at least one mega main event match at Wrestlemania (possibly two?), and that the travel packages will go on sale right after that, haha.

I live about 5 mins from the stadium so I know pretty much everything in the area I've lived here all my life if anyone has questions.Me and friends from here are planning to go then alot of friends I know from other places are planning to go as well it could be a group of like 50 if it works out alot of people want me to get the tickets for them, but I'm sure some people will have different budgets. My step brother has been to the last couple of Mania's due to the fact that his wife works in marketing and does business here and there and they always send her for free and they are always in the front row so since it will be here I'm going to see about going with them first especially since it's free and they get a VIP dinner with the superstars etc lol.I also work with the state police and know all the security at the arena so ill talk to them about getting backstage and stuff as well haha.I saved money anyway just in case and I'm trying to to sit as close as possible since it will my first Mania.I'm just confused about how it works with tickets I obviously won't need a travel package but I want to do Axxess,HOF and possibly RAW so I guess you buy them separate? If anyone knows let me know just trying to understand how it works.

Yes you can buy everything separate but tickets wont go on sale until November i think but you'll need to check that. People who have done it say its actually cheaper overall to do everything separate.

Only way I'd fork out that kind of money is if AJ came with the hotel room. I also find it odd that so many people are apparently optimistic about the weather situation. April in an outdoor stadium in New York has a very high potential to be a miserable experience. If you think watching a Divas match is painful now, imagine watching it when you're battling hypothermia and you can't feel your toes.

#240 ·
:lmao Hypothermia in April? Thankfully modern inventions like shoes and jackets will prevent that from happening. I've been at that Stadium (well the old one) in late December for a football game that had a kickoff time of 8pm. That was pretty fucking cold. April is baseball season. Nothing that could possibly happen in April, aside from fog I guess but that would worry me anywhere, in New Jersey has me worried.
