WRESTLEMANIA 29 - Planning and excitement thread for atendees! 7 days away!

Alright everyone -

The day after WM27 last year, we started this thread in reference to the just-passed WM28. So, let's do it all again and start our road to WM29 right now! Money allowing, I'd freaking love to head to NYC next year. Who's going?!?!

Wow I feel like im either poor or just cheap. I kinda dont care where I sit cuz its all about the experince.. Ive been.to.a couple of Raws and PPVs but Mania will probably feel a million times better. I just started wondering about the Raw after Mania, are tickets still being sold and for how much. I wouldnt mind staying an extra day in the area to see what could be a great Raw.

I can't wait. This will be my first Wrestlemania. I really hope my expectations aren't too high but don't see how you can go wrong being there in person. I have never been to a Wrestlemania or one of these stadium shows so I hope good vibes are in the air. I know I will be having a good time but I hope this will at least make my woman a fan as she is indifferent to it now but man live shows are a blast so I hope it helps turn the corner. So we can go raise hell at shows more in the future. If Mania doesn't do the trick though I give up. :)

Is anyone on the 8.40 from Heathrow on the 2nd April?

Also, has anyone looked into public transport. I'm staying at The Hyatt in Seacaucus and I'm a bit worried about travelling in and out of NY. Ill look into it later, but I was wondering if anyone knew off the top of their heads what the transport is like. Especially at night, as I'm doing ROH on the Friday and HOF on the Saturday

I'm also staying nearby at LaQuinta. I know that transport to the city is super easy. Lots of BUS that drops you within walking distance of the venues for HOF & ROH.

My main concern is coming back from Mania and RAW. The train doesn't run on Monday for raw, so hotel shuttle bus to the station than bus to IZOD, but the hotel shuttle bus won't run after 9pm, so going back near the hotels from Secaucus Junction station will be a pain... maybe taxi but might be a huge line.

Quick question regards ticket collection.

MSG collection via will call will be easy as i'll be in Manhattan most days whilst were there
Got ticketmaster to email Mania tickets after my debit card was eaten by an ATM so those are fine

Anyone know / think it would be possible to collect Raw tickets on the Sunday? Thinking get to the stadium nice and early and pop to the Izod Centre will call and collect them there rather than a possible box office scrum on the Monday before Raw starts.

I've emailed Ticketmaster to see if they can email me my Raw tickets the same as they did with my Mania tickets. Heres what they told me when I had the problem with the card I used to order the Mania tickets:

Thank you for your email. You can just show them the new card and provide them with the last four numbers of the old card. The venue will provide you with your hard copy tickets.

Some people like to save the hard copy tickets for souvenirs. If you are not one of them, we can send you the tickets by email since you have a yahoo.com email address and your can print the tickets if you want to. The International Will Call fee of $2.50 would be transfer to the TicketFast email ticket fee
I emailed back saying it would be fine with emailed tickets and I got my tickets in a PDF document sent over to me soon after. However I know someone else who tried this and ticketmaster wouldnt email them because of the type of email address he had?!?

What did you write in your first email? I'd love to be able to print my tickets instead of lining up at willcall..

Sure am, flights leave Manchester on the 2nd April at 9.50am

The debit card I used to book my Mania tickets was eaten by an ATM machine (ironically on the way to an indy wrestling show) so I emailed ticketmaster explaining that I wouldnt be able to produce the card that the tickets were booked with. They then mentioned about being able to get tickets emailed.

121 is dead center. So +- 3 sections should be good to see everything and be more or less in the middle. Its a small arena, so I wouldn't be worried about any bad seats. Be worried about tall people with signs.

I thought you were talking about RAW. My bad. I don't think prices will increase from what they are now. If anything they might fall a bit as people get anxious to sell.

Don't forget to check stubhub.com and compare their prices with seatgeek. I've used stubhub plenty of times for baseball games and have never had a problem with them. Highly recommend them.

It looks like there'll be some very good seats for the Raw after WM on sale tomorrow. It looks like the presale only included seats on one half of the arena (plus the floor sections). I don't see any tix on stub hub or seat geek to suggest that any seats on the same side as the hard camera have been sold... Should be another mad dash for front row seats tomorrow morning

Someone can correct me if my assumption is wrong

#2,233 ·
The "wrestling" seating chart is correct. My assumption means that tix tomorrow will open up seating on the side of arena opposite what you see on TV. These seats at Izod will include section 108 if I'm correct. I believe those that bought wm packages would be placed in seats that can be seen on television. Notice on stubhub or any of the other sites, the only tickets listed are all on one half of the arena. Even here, people that posted their seat areas are only in seats on the left half of the arena and in floor sections. My search of the 3rd part sites only shows people trying to sell seats in the floor sections, sects 103 - 119 and the 200 level seats above them. Meaning theres a Lotta other seats to be filled...

Only makes sense that excellent seats on the right side of arena will be avail tomorrow. Getting those seats means u prob wont see yaself on tv but still.

You bring up a good point about half the arena ticket's being unsold. I don't care about being on tv, so I'm just going to go for the best view tomorrow/later today.

I have never been to an event in a statium of this size (and never in a statium in the US for that matter) and I am still a little bit confused about the seating. Hope someone can help me here

Well, my chain of thought is that sections on the floor like section 13 or 113 ain't that good at all because you have a whole other section in front of you and because these are all floor seats chances are you can't see anything at all because of all the people/signs in front of you.
So I thought that sections like 112, 113, 114 in the blue part are probably way better seats, because you are not that far from the ring and still will be able to see better since you are on a higher level.

Can somebody confirm this or please let me know why this is not true!? I appreciate it.

Im told theres a slight raise for the seats on the field as they go further back. It makes sense because asking people to sit 50 yards back, dead flat, wouldnt be fair.

It also falls in line with what I've seen when I go to Giants games. NFL stadiums aren't like soccer stadiums where the front row is level with the pitch, but rather front row is a few metres higher than the pitch to allow the vast number of players and equipment to walk round without obscuring peoples views. It means its perfectly possible to raise the seats further back.

9 minutes to go and this thread is dead? Ain't no one going for tickets today?

Hahaha. I just came back from shoveling. Luckily one of our tenants shoveled last night, and my dad did too early this morning. I just had to shovel about 2 inches worth of snow. Not too bad. Although a big clump of snow blew down from one of the air conditioners and almost landed on me. Wasn't even wearing a hat. BRRR.
