WRESTLEMANIA 29 - Planning and excitement thread for atendees! 7 days away!
Alright everyone -
The day after WM27 last year, we started this thread in reference to the just-passed WM28. So, let's do it all again and start our road to WM29 right now! Money allowing, I'd freaking love to head to NYC next year. Who's going?!?!
I don't understand how the people who are actually going can say they don't want to go any more. You're going to fucking Wrestlemania in New York City. Yeah, the card may not be what you want it to be but Jesus Christ, the bitching is getting out of control. Don't want Cena to win? Boo his ass and make the match fun for yourself. Don't want HHH to win? Boo his ass and make the match fun for yourself. Butthurt Punk's not in the main event? Go crazy and boo Taker to show your frustration. I can get being annoyed and let down by things as they currently sit bit at the end of the day, you're still going and you're still getting to see all these top level stars at the biggest wrestling show of the year. For the first time since Mania 25 I won't be attending and while I'm not devastated, it still sucks yet here are all these people bitching and whining non-stop about something that hasn't even happened yet. Trust me when I tell you all that when you walk into that stadium, sit in your seat and the lights go out to signal the start of the show, you're going to regret every complaint you've made about going because once you are there and once you feel the atmosphere, you won't give a fuck what's on the card. You wont't give a fuck that HHH/Brock is a rematch because you'll hear that first note of Lesnar's music and you'll mark out. You won't give a fuck that Rock/Cena is a rematch because depending on your preference, you're going to be up out of your seat cheering the guy you want to win and booing the other one. You'll just be happy to be there and experience Wrestlemania the way it was meant to be experienced. Live and in person. I'm not exactly thrilled about the card myself but if I was going I wouldn't be ruining it for myself before I even get there. Wrestlemania 27 was enjoyable as a live experience. WRESTLEMANIA 27. I rest my case.
Couldn't have said it better myself. This is my first and probably only WrestleMania and despite how the card looks right now, I can't wait to go. Yea, the card can be a lot better, but it's WrestleMania. It'll no doubt be a special show and I'm not going to let a match or two that I may not want to see ruin my experience.
I'm GOING TO WRESTLEMANIA! Section 315 which is...admittedly pretty high up but i seen a few pictures from people that sat there and it doesn't look so bad. got them relatively cheap too, of course. If I had more money I'd have bought better seats but oh well, I'm just happy to be going to my first Mania!
I randomly got a phone call yesterday morning. They did not leave a VM, so I called back and asked who it was. They said it was WFAN Radio. They had no idea why they called me. They said anyone in the building could have called. They asked if I entered a contest recently. I remembered that I entered to win tickets to Mania a while back, so I said that. The guy put me on hold for about 15 mins. He came back on the line and asked if my address was blah blah blah. I said yes. He said " Well congratulations, because your going to Metlife this Sunday for Wrestlemania ".. Haha I was floored. I went to the station to pick them up, and they gave me 2 tickets, 2 mania shirts, 2 mania hats, and 2 mania bags.
So for the first time in my 27 year life.. I can finally say
IM GOING TO WRESTLEMANIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Probably leaving at 5 and getting there around 6 tomorrow. Got work. Only live about 45 mins from Metlife anyway. Gunna drive.
Insane. The hotels will absolutely be in NJ. Im starting to think the only NY state event will be Axxess in the Javits Center in Manhattan
Another question, is the Hall of Fame always in the same arena as the Raw after WM?
I did some looking around and noticed that the only NYC area arena available on April 6th is the Prudential Center in Newark. MSG has a Rangers game and Barclays (Brooklyn. TLC will be there) has a Nets game.
Hey guys since I'm new to this forum I would like to introduce myself. Of course I am not the Jabroni Beater, nor Pie Eater, nor Trailblaizer, but I am the EyeBrow Raiser. So I have a YouTube channel and went into detail of the Package prices vs if you did everything individually. So I thought you guys would appreciate it because it actually is a pretty good in depth video. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvQ07fxpP3E I have more coming every week, so subscribe to see the latest info. Also episode 1 of this series is up and it is about where NOT to sit at WM 29! Check that out too in the description box. Thank you for your time.
Looking at those WWE ticket packages and salivating right now. I don't think I'll have the money to go this year but I'm really hoping to either 2014 or 2015.
You could get good seats in the $200 - $350 price range depending on the price increase this year. In 2010, my riser section seats at WM26 were $250 each and I had a really good view. Though nothing like 5th row ringside this year that I got with the platinum package.
Ended up getting Section 115F, Row B. Most of the $400 tickets were really close to the titantron or other side of the stadium, but these have a good angle at the ring...SO DAMN AMPED!! MetLife is like 10 min from my house, so I couldn't pass up on going. This is a childhood dream, bucket list type of thing.
Unfortunately, it doesn't show how the floor seats will be arranged (obviously), so it isn't much help for me. But it is a great way to see where you are sitting and I suppose I could still use it to estimate where my brother and I will be. And if the floor seats end up having the same number of seats per row, we'll be right in the middle of the row.
Doing a semester abroad in USA so that is the perfect excuse for me to finally go to a WM. I will most likely be travelling alone... Anybody else with experience in going to WM alone? Someone else who are going by themselves? Can't wait to see characters like The Undertaker, HHH, The Rock, Brock Lesnar, Cena og CM Punk live. Even with the possibility of The Hardys returning makes this even more exciting.
I traveled alone this year. Of course Id rather travel with someone but once inside the stadium (or arena for raw) you find out that theres a lot of people flying solo too and you can always hang out and talk wrestling, I met australians, english, even japanese people (even though they were really shy) traveling on their own. What really surprised me is that being from Ecuador (South america) I thought that there would be no chance in hell that I bump into a fellow ecuadorian and I bumped into three!! Anyway theres no shame on trabelig alone that way you control your own time and when you feel lonely just drink. A lot.
Thanks man, I'm always looking but on a budget. This is probably the closest it will ever come to me and I was in NY for One Night Stand 2006 and enjoyed the whole weekend. I would like to see the stage naturally as they usually look awesome but it's not a deal breaker. I'm keeping an eye out though as it would be nice. I'm more worried about posts and signs so as long as the view to the ring is straight I'll be ok. I'll go grab some set pics before and during if I don't end up getting better seats.
Im told theres a slight raise for the seats on the field as they go further back. It makes sense because asking people to sit 50 yards back, dead flat, wouldnt be fair.
It also falls in line with what I've seen when I go to Giants games. NFL stadiums aren't like soccer stadiums where the front row is level with the pitch, but rather front row is a few metres higher than the pitch to allow the vast number of players and equipment to walk round without obscuring peoples views. It means its perfectly possible to raise the seats further back.
Damn right it would be! When Lesnar signed last year THIS was the match we all envisioned happening. Seeing as taker hasn't returned and no one has come to Vinces defence yet, I'm still holding for the match. triple H can wait until summerslam!
Tbh as a fan I'd rather see Triple H in a storyline with the Shield this year, so that taker is free for Brock. Then we get Cena-rock- punk as well, everybody wins and no rematches!!!
Jesus Christ. I can't believe how many butthurt people there are here. Were you all born into privilege or something? Full of people throwing their dummies out their pram.
I'm going and I'm going to have a great fucking time regardless and make the most of it.
