Also why would you see a Mets game? If you're going to be in NY on April 4th do yourself a favor and see the best rivalry in baseball as the Red Sox are playing the Yankees in the Bronx. Yeah tickets will be more expensive if you don't get them direct but I think it would be worth it. After that the Yankees play the Orioles on April 12th. Both teams made the playoffs last year. Also the Mets suck? Why would you want to see them?
Yankees would be my first choice to see, but unfortunately I do not fly into NYC until the 5th. Leave on the 12th at night so can't make the Orioles game either (was hoping it would be an afternoon game but 19:05 start). So going to have to make do with the Mets.

Knicks are at home on the 5th and 9th - going to try and get tickets for one of the games. Looking like I will have to use TicketsNow/StubHub for them. Going to try and get the Bar Stool seats at the Garden (Sections 203 and 205) - think that will be pretty cool.

Rangers are at home to the Maple Leafs on the 10th so going to try and get for that too when they go on sale on Wednesday.

Going to the NY International Auto Show on the 6th also.

Makes sense then. And those Knicks tickets are going to cost a fortune. They're doing so well right now that prices have really been driven up for all of their home games.

Honestly if you're not a big baseball fan already I wouldn't even bother with the Mets in all honesty.

I couldn't afford Knicks tickets, so I got Nets ones instead, which is fine. Rangers game is a must, and hopefully I'll be able to get to a Yankees game, but I suspect I have no chance of getting tickets to the opening game of the season, so maybe I'll go watch some MLS action to make up for the lack of MLB.

I go to Temple in Philly. I'm from New York and a Yankees fan. I don't dislike the Mets at all. The Mets organization is a mess, the team doesn't have anyone that is really appealing to see. Overall if you're not a Mets fan I wouldn't say going to see a Mets game is a good idea and that has nothing to do with who my favorite team is.

Wrestlemania weekend they're playing the Marlins. I wouldn't recommend anyone that isn't a fan of either team to go and see that game., After that they play Philly, better then the Marlins but not exactly a team I would go out of my way to see either. Maybe if you know who's pitching it might be worth your time they aren't the most exciting team either.

Any NBA game should be fun. I see the 76ers all the time when I'm at school in Philly and even when they lose the games are always fun. The games are quick compared to baseball, in a smaller venue so

Re: WRESTLEMANIA 29 - Anyone planning on going??

Got my Mania ticket, Section 111F Row E. Should I have a decent view? Tried getting Hall of Fame tix the minute they went on sale yesterday and then kept trying all day and nothing more than upper 200 level seats were available. I know they had an extended presale, but I thought they would hold some tickets in the lower sections. I suspect that they haven't sold any of the floor seats yet since they don't even show floor seats as a choosable option and didn't have floor as an option during presale. Anybody know if this might be true?

Re: WRESTLEMANIA 29 - Anyone planning on going??

Has anyone from NYC take the bus from Port Authority to the stadium and on the way back? Looks like that is what we will be doing since my friend doesn't drive and I'm coming up from DC.

No word on raw after mania eh?

Did a quick google map search for taking the bus from Port Authority and it looks like you have to walk 1.2 miles. 24 minute walk.

I've gone to Metlife Stadium by train from the city and it leaves you right in front of the stadium. Metlife is to your right, and if you're going to RAW the next night the Izod center is to your left. I'd suggest the train.

Heading from Manhattan to Metlife? Take the train.

Step 1: Get your ass to 34st-Herald Square [The B,D,F,N,Q,R,M stop there. Wait. No. The M doesn't on weekends. And that's my local train. Shit.]

Step 2: Take the PATH train to Hoboken [You can use your same Metrocard that works on NYC buses and trains to swipe in to PATH]

Step 3: Get off at Hoboken. Buy a ticket to the Meadowland Complex. Find your track.

Step 4: Board the train. Chant "Yes!" "Yes!" "Yes!" until you get there. Approx. 12 minutes.

P.S. If you end up at the wrong 34th street station, that is 34th-Penn [1,2,3, or A,C,E lines] you can still get to Metlife from there via train. You take the NJ transit instead of PATH. Buy a round-trip ticked to Meadowlands Stations. Take first train to Secaucus. Transfer to the Meadowlands train. The End.
