Would of been Lesnar at the time where he was on top. Now, I have no idea.

Inb4 someone says Kane even though he's a glorified jobber these days.
Wade Barrett- begins the era of mega heel Barrett
I would say Punk but since he is retiring in a few years, he doesn't need it, unless they decide to give it to him instead of a cherished Mania main event that he wants before he goes.

The boat Taker ever losing at Mania sailed when they didn't put Orton over him during the Legend Killer gimmick. Nobody should or will go over him at a Mania. If I HAD to choose someone on the roster I'd either give it to someone up-coming with talent like Ziggler or Punk to further cement him as a top guy in the company.

I think John Cena will be great match for undertaker. John Cena can put on good match with him. First turn undertaker heal and make him attack John Cena. Then John Cena ask him what is wrong we use to be friendly. Then undertaker powerslam him and say we never friendly you always outshine me or something like this. Then they never fight before wrestlemania and then at wrestlemania John Cena attitude adjustment him through 2 table and win

Realistically Orton should've beaten him during his run as the Legend Killer

But I would've loved to have seen Lesnar come in while he was UFC champ and smash Taker to bits. Probably not a smart business choice in the long run but there is nobody more credible than that and I'm sure it would've drawn huge

I'll just act like I didn't read the post where it said Cena should put Taker through 2 tables and end his strike.

His strike will not be ended by anyone. Period

Punk

In all seriousness though, no one should end the streak.

I'm of the same belief that Taker shouldn't lose at all at Wrestlemania. At this point, he should just be allowed to retire this year or next year with the streak intact. I just assumed the point of the thread was that Taker had to lose, so pick who beats him. Barrett to me is someone who could be groomed to be that guy.

Now I see OP went back and said we can bring back retired legends to do it, which I think is absolutely insane. Whoever were to pin The Undertaker at Wrestlemania would have to be somebody the company can bank on for the next 5-10 years as a top guy. Somebody has to benefit. Some retired guy looking for a fat payday? Nobody benefits in the long run. There has to be an end game.

Hypothetically speaking..

Lesnar ending the streak so he can job to Cena again later? Let's not forget Brock is a part timer and his future is uncertain. Either way Brock is an established superstar, what's the point?

Like someone said before me - Wade Barret. Do you people even realise what an impact that would be for him? How much heet he is gonna receive? One match will make him the biggest heel in the company. The greatest start of someones career as a top guy. Barret has the potential to be one of the best heels of all time. Jesus.. FUCK WWE for not doing this.

We all know the strike will not end.

That's what I thought too but since it didn't happen, now I don't think the streak should end. Honestly, I don't think 'Taker should come back either. 20-0 is a perfect number to go out on. He doesn't have anything else to prove. Plus, the streak match lately is always bigger than Wrestlemania itself or any of the title matches. I'll be glad when he's not rolled out for his annual match.
