Taker vs Cena in an "I Quit" match. That's the only way it could ever be unpredictable.

I don't care what happens, Taker is never gonna lose at Wrestlemania.

So if he were to continue, how do you make it unpredictable? Kick out of 3 finishers in succesion? that's absurd.
Have Taker job.

LOL. What am I saying. Taker won't put anyone over at Mania.

Just for fun and the sake of unpredictability:

1. a Triple Threat match

2. Have some wrestler pin the Undertaker for a 3-count. And for a minute or so, let the guy celebrate the win; only for the GM/Triple H/Whomever to run down and claim that Undertaker's hand was below the ropes; hence, it doesn't count and the match continues.

#2 would get a serious reaction. It will work during Cena/Undertaker.

I was thinking.. instead of having the focus mainly on The Undertaker, make the focus mainly on his opponent for that year. IE: Cena.

Similar to the Vs. Streak part of RTWM in Smackdown vs Raw 2011, have Cena doubt if he can actually beat The Undertaker after the opponents that The Undertaker has destroyed over the years. Have him face The Undertakers previous 10 or so Wrestlemania opponents week in, week out.

Week one: Have Ric Flair make a surprise appearence and take on Cena, only to have Cena win.

Week two: Have him take on The Big Show and Lord Tensai in a handicap match, Cena wins. Only just though.

Week three: Have him take on Kane. Cena wins.

Week four: He takes on Randy Orton. He wins and begins to feel elated, like he can definitely beat 'Taker.

Week five: He takes on Mark Henry, but gets too full of himself and gets his ass beaten.

Week six: He's back to "shit, can I do this?" kind of mode. Hopefully by this time, Batista is back and has been for quite awhile. He takes on Batista and loses.

Week seven: He's slowly begininning to doubt himself even more. "I can't do this. I need to back out." Since Edge is actually full on retired due to injury, he's forced to take on HBK who only agreed to do take on Cena because he's still somewhat mad about 'Taker ending his career. He beats HBK in a short match, and HBK agree's to help Cena learn what it might take to beat The Undertaker.

Week eight, the second RAW before 'Mania: He takes on Triple H. He wins in a strong battle, only to have The Undertaker come out and tombstone him.

Week nine: Cena says that the attack was uncalled for and says that he's "definitely prepared to beat Undertaker." he claims he knows all about what it takes to beat the Undertaker. The lights go out and Cena takes yet another tombstone. The Undertaker then cuts a promo over Cena's unconscious carcus. He talks about how "20 men have tried to end the streak. 20 have failed. There's no chance in hell that I'll have someone that has never battled the dark forces before even come close. You better bring your A game Cena, you're gonna need it if you intend to get anywhere near victory."

At Wrestlemania it's an even playing field. Who knows who will win?

That's a pretty bad idea.

Default Re: Official Undertaker WM Streak Thread - No Other Threads

To me from a Wrestling point of view there isn't anyway they can make the streak seem like it's in jeopardy. The last three matches have shown that no matter what you throw at him he's going to kick out. The last time I thought he was going to lose was THAT Tombstone last year. Once he kicked out of that then they've broken Kayfabe as far as I'm aware. Put him up against anyone and it's just not believable he's going to lose. Hell you could stick fully pissed off superman Cena against him and I'd still be confident of a clean Taker win.

To me the only way you can make it seem like it's in doubt is from a non kayfabe point of view.

The Streak has broken Kayfabe in that when I think about Taker and his matches at WM I don't think "Oh here is tough guy HHH. If anyone can end the streak it's him." I think "Oh WWE aren't going to let it end like this because story line wise it doesn't make sense for THIS to be the end".

I don't know whether that's the streak or just me smarking up recently but I'm looking at the match from a point of view that there is no way they are booking Taker to lose this rather than "This guy could have a chance against Taker".

So yeah... anyway...

To me... the only way to make the Streak seem in danger is to put Taker in a story line where you'd legit believe that WWE would book Taker to lose.

There are only a few ways I can see that happening and I'm hoping you guys can think of some more to add...

So far I've got...

* Announce it's Taker's last match. If he's going to lose it's going to likely be his last match.
* Stick him against a fresh Heel Cena. If Cena does ever turn heel you would think there is no way he's losing his first match which would be against Taker.

Those are the only two I can think of and Heel Cena is the only one I would legit be worried about the streak. Even if it's his retirement match, if it was against anyone else I wouldn't think he'd be losing.

Tough decision! As much as I'd love to see Taker finally lose, Cena is not the man, who should end it. I would probably be a little scared.
