It would be great to see a promo battle between Punk and Taker with Punk trying to be real and calling Taker out for only working 1 day per year and then Taker being full on gimmick, saying he will end Punk. Punk could then play the chicken shit heel, scared as anything of the Undertaker, leading to a class Mania match between the two.

I think Punk trying to be real and calling Taker "Mark" in his promos would be stupid. It may work on people like Rock who's well known outside WWE, but for a guy like Taker who stays on kayfabe all the time that would be ridiculous.

Re: Official Undertaker WM Streak Thread - No Other Threads
While I'm not someone against the whole using first real names to poke at someone, for the reason The Pied Piper stated, it just wouldn't work. Maybe as ABA Taker it would be fine, but Taker as the deadman is a complete 100% gimmick which is completely separate from who Mark Calaway is as a person. It just wouldn't work, especially when a lot of people don't like it being done already with the guys it's done on. Unless the attempt of course it to destroy Taker's deadman character to make him human again in his final year or two, which would be incredibly stupid.

Exactly this, unless somehow Punk can work without mentioning kayfabe, which is unusual for him.

Who would you most like to see Undertaker face next at Wrestlemania?
Just wondering what the most popular view for this is, personally I'd say Brock, but I expect Sting will be more popular. Cena's been batted around a few times and CM Punk is another one that could be interesting with Punk's demanding respect gimmick of late.

I think his last two matches (assume he will be done after 30) should be against Lesnar & Cena. I don't mind Punk/Taker if they go that route (a streak vs streak match would be nice, but doubtful since Rock likely wins at RR)

Re: Who would you most like to see Undertaker face next at Wrestlemania?
Why is sting on the list, there is a 0.0000000001% chance that he would go to WWE, he said in an interview that he is proud to be one of the big names that have wrestled for as long as he can in big company's and not sold his soul to Vince McMahon, sorry to burst your bubble but it wont happen.
On that list I'd go with lesner though, they could put on one hell of a match if it has the right build up for it and there active after the rumble.

Just to stop you there and answer, the thread title DID say "Who would you most LIKE to see" and not so much "Who do you think WILL face the Undertaker". Nothing wrong with that option in more of a what-if type of thread.
