Re: Official Undertaker WM Streak Thread - No Other Threads

Rock vs Taker would be cool for 29 and i wouldn't mind it happening but i would rather see undertaker vs Cena at 29 instead.

Proud mark and supporter of Triple H. All of his wins are well deserved and he has earned his spot. Theres nothing you guys can do about it. Haters can suck it.

Quote:
- New details are coming out about The Undertaker's status for WrestleMania 29 and it's said that The Deadman is not in good shape at all. One thing that wasn't reported after his WrestleMania match with Triple H this year is that the hip replacement he had a few years back was damaged pretty bad.

There is talk that some of the surgical work he has had done over the past few years is really beat up to the point that he's back to square one. Taker had been going to see specialists in New York but he is so beat up now that WWE has been flying the doctors to his home in Texas instead.

There is also a lot of talk within WWE that if he does end up doing anything at WrestleMania 29, it likely won't be a big time physical match like we are used to. As we have noted, there is talk of having Taker work the Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant with the idea he can do a few memorable spots before being eliminated.

Right now The Undertaker is not being figured into any major WrestleMania plans internally. The feeling is if he wants to do it and feels like he can do it, WWE will make room for him. It wouldn't be the first time but it's possible could see The Undertaker skip a WrestleMania in 2013.

Some people within WWE are under the impression that the "end of an era" hype from this year's WrestleMania against Triple H really was the end as far as big time WrestleMania matches for The Undertaker go.

Re: Official Undertaker WM Streak Thread - No Other Threads

I'm not even disappointed at that news. I figured the physical toll on his body was great, but for a while I had forgotten about it. He's at a point in his life where he's accomplished more than enough to finally settle down. If he wants to do it and if they can find a way for it to work with him at royal rumble or WM, then great, but I won't be upset if he chooses not to.

Re: Official Undertaker WM Streak Thread - No Other Threads

Im not believing any reports out there. One report says he will be back by survivor series, one report says he was alot better this then we was in 2011, another report says hes gonna face Lesnar. Im not believing any of these reports on Taker. Ill see it to believe it

Re: Official Undertaker WM Streak Thread - No Other Threads

i don't really want to see the streak ended, personally, and most fans don't either. having the rock end it would be a waste of the momentum and the rub whoever ends it would get. the rock can't possibly get more over.

the only reason to end the streak would be to give the big rub to a current or future star. i've often thought of punk/taker at WM with punk winning but by cheating or the undertaker losing with his foot on the rope type of situation as the story would be 20-1, but the real story would be 'he never technically lost at WM'.

or have a heel beat him clean if you have unshakable faith in that star to be the bedrock of the wwe for the future. the only people who i believe have the credibility in the eyes of the fans to beat 'taker in this fashion would be punk, bryan, or cena. and i'm not a cena guy(only because he's been pushed down our throats) but a heel turn coinciding with him ending the undertaker's streak would be pretty fucking epic if you ask me.

in conclusion, i don't see the streak ending, but if it does end i think this year would be the time to do it because it would leave the undertaker with a 20 win streak at WM, a nice round, respectable, unpassable number.

you are what you love, not who loves you.

I've never really thought about it like that before. I've always thought that the streak should never end, but you're right 20 is a good number and (as everyone has said) it will never be done again. 20-1 wouldn't be too too terrible.

Re: Official Undertaker WM Streak Thread - No Other Threads

If Taker can't wrestle a big match at WM I think they should have Taker vs Miz. Have the Miz surprisingly elimante Taker at the Rumble, then on the following weeks have him cut promos about how awesome he is for having Taker eliminated from the Rumble...leading to a 5-10 min match at WM29.

The feud against Kane prior WMXX was awesome and ended in a 7min match...and it was ok. I guess they can do something similar with the Miz. I think it would work really good.

BTW I got tired of having the last 3 years Taker sharing his streak celebration/momentum with other guys. At 26 it was HBK retirement, at 27 he looked as if he had lost and at 28 he shared it with HHH/HBK.

It would be nice to have him celebrate the 21-0 in a cool way. A 100'% Taker moment.

Re: Official Undertaker WM Streak Thread - No Other Threads

Why not have Taker in a tag team match or something? Something like Taker/Ryback vs Miz/Ziggler or something could be decent
