Re: Official Undertaker WM Streak Thread - No Other Threads
If Taker's not facing Brock or Cena, then he shouldn't be at Mania. You can't go downward at this point with Taker by having him face guys who aren't huge stars.

Taker should face Cena. This may be his last match, if it's not done next year the may regret it.

Re: Official Undertaker WM Streak Thread - No Other Threads
Maybe if this were the 90's and the Undertaker existed as just another company guy who helped the big men Vince liked get some spot-light I'd be down with it, if it was an ordinary TV feud with multiple scraps and fights and stuff...
But this is the fucking Undertaker, the man who's been in this business for decades now and never once been defeated at WM. He is a fucking Icon, he does about one match a year and the last 4 years have been against wrestling Gods, the two years before that were for World Titles against Wrestling Mega-Stars, you can't just waste him on some guy who's been here less than a year beating up nobodies for the most part.
To Conclude, He's the Motherfucking Undertaker.

Sounds good to me. You guys complain that no new stars are getting made, here's the perfect opportunity to create a new star.

Re: Official Undertaker WM Streak Thread - No Other Threads
Will never happen but I would want Cena in a Title vs. Streak match for 21-0 or 20-1 at Wrestlemania 29. Cena is a babyface champion going into the event, but turns heel, aligning himself with a Corporate Triple H to screw Taker, establishing them as the biggest villains in WWE. Opens up the opportunity for a new babyface star to rise up and challenge.
Ending the Streak benefits the future of the company, and doesn't get locked away forever if Taker retired undefeated.

Re: Official Undertaker WM Streak Thread - No Other Threads
Sure, but never ending the streak benefits Taker's legacy, which he deserves for being the legend that he is.
Anyway, there's no reason for them to do Taker/Cena at 29 when they can just wait a year and do it at 30.

It benefits the company only if WWE has a well structured plan after the event with the person who ends The Streak. The person who ends The Streak will be known forever as "The man who ended the 20+ year Streak of The Undertaker." So much weight is going to be placed on that man's shoulders and the direction that wrestler goes in will have to be nothing short of great or the decision will be a waste and just a single "moment in history" instead of the start of something epic to build on. It could also badly leave a mark on Undertaker's legacy. John Cena (maybe a heel turn?) is probably the only person in the company that will be protected enough for an angle as momentous as ending The Undertaker which I think ending The Streak means (whether it is broken or he decides to ride off into the sunset himself). However, I am not fully confident WWE are creative enough to properly execute on the aftermath to benefit the company long-term even with a heel John Cena. It would be shocking to see the Streak end and Cena turn heel but I believe ending Undertaker's legacy at WrestleMania should mean more than shock value. Undertaker's response to the Streak will also be important because it will most likely be his last match and the moment sold after should be fitting as well.
