WM 27's No Holds Barred match was very very good, but it definitely dragged on a little bit. It was the highlight of WM 27, but definitely not the best match I have ever seen.

WM 28's Hell in Cell match was glorious. IMO, it was not only MOTN for WM, but also MOTY so far. Story telling, drama, emotion, everything was there. The cell could have been utilized better, but I understand why it wasn't. I wouldn't say it was the greatest from just a sheer wrestling perspective, but it had everything else and was one hell of a ride anyway.

27 had a moment where you genuinely thought the streak was ending when HHH did the tombstone and the trademark taker pin. It was a good match but WM 28's version was a better match overall for reasons already mentioned in the thread. But it was very predictable that Taker was winning.

Their match at WM 28 was better BUT WM 27 had you thinking the streak was over. When HHH hit 3 pedigrees and then a tombstone I thought the streak was really over.

ok but was it really a 5 star match, i don't think so, how would u rank takers top 5 matches and why

i was expected a bloodbath and a very different hell in a cell match, but it was a good match i just think it was predictable, wm27 had that moment where you felt the streak was going to end after the tombstone, but i never got that moment from wm28

I more thought the streak was over after the SCM/Pedigree at 28 than the 27 tombstone, but maybe that's just me.

At WM only? Top 10 is easier to do than top 5:

1. Taker vs HBK (WM 25)
2. Taker vs HHH (WM 28)
3. Taker vs HBK (WM 26)
4. Taker vs Edge (WM 24)
5. Taker vs Batista (WM 23)
6. Taker vs HHH (WM 17)
7. Taker vs Kane WM 14)
8. Taker vs Flair (WM 18)
9. Taker vs HHH (WM 27)
10. Taker vs Diesel (WM 12)

Honorable Mention: Taker vs Orton (WM 21)

WM 27 was boring as fuck (although I love the storytelling of Undertaker getting his ass handed to him). After WM 17 which was all kinds of fun to watch, the rematch pales in comparison.

WM 28 was great. The match was faster paced, the HIAC was used a bit, HBK added to the drama, there was some bloodshed from HHH, and The Undertaker was actually the underdog heading into the match. What wasn't to love about it?

Default The Streak facts

Obviously, we know Undertaker is 20-0 at Wrestlemania, but I want to know what was the storyline reasoning for the matches taking place. Like why did Undertaker face Jimmy Snuka? Why did he face Bundy and not DiBiase? And overall what were some of both the Kayfabe and real life reasons for some of these matches. Why at Mania 22 didn't they go with Taker vs Angle? It was foreshadowed at the rumble and they both wanted to do it. Couldn't they've easily had Orton get the belt and face Mysterio 1 on 1. Who all at different points were legitimately considered to break the streak? I've heard Bundy, Henry and Batista all were strongly considered. At Wrestemania 16 had he not been injured who would've he faced. Was Nathan Jones ever really've supposed to've been in that match? Why at Mania 24 did they claim Edge hadn't lost at Mania before when he lost the year prior? Was it because he was taken out of the match or because he eventually ended up with MITB anyway or was to be streak vs streak? Who were other rumored opponents at various points? basically any info regarding the streak would be helpful.

WWE wanted Kurt Angle to end the streak at Wrestlemania 22. Kurt, out of respect, declined that idea.
