Re: Official Undertaker WM Streak Thread - No Other Threads
If The Streak is going to continue, I want to see WWE do something different with it. Hell, for WrestleMania XXIX, why not have Undertaker battle a group of three or four guys in a Gauntlet Match? The order of who faces Taker when would be determined by random and as the match goes on, Taker gets weaker and weaker and the guys who have yet to get a shot at him are getting nervous that one of the others might do it before them. Not only that, the audience would be getting more and more nervous that Taker might actually lose.
Of course, in the end, Undertaker wins and goes to 21-0, but just because it's predictable doesn't mean that it wouldn't be really cool to see. Plus, it could really help the guys who face Taker. Even in losses, they battled The Deadman at WrestleMania. You could get a group of guys with any combination of Sheamus, Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett, Dolph Ziggler, a newly pushed Drew McIntyre, Alberto Del Rio, Daniel Bryan. Some people may not like it, but I think that would be really creative and interesting to see and it would be good for the youth of WWE.
Or, if you didn't want to have the matches all back-to-back, you could have four matches take place throughout the night, with the last one being the main event, bring Taker's total up to 24-0 and then have him go 25-0 at WrestleMania 30 and call it a career. I don't like that one as much because I feel like it waters down The Streak a bit and ruins it, but it would be more creative than what they do now and I don't think people would expect it.
I just want to see them do something other than "big star decides to take a shot at The Streak, Taker wins - repeat next year".
