Why not just acknowledge the match for being really good rather than discouraging it?

People wanted Trips/Taker in a cell and we got it and it was awesome. Who cares if it was a gimmick match? Some of the best matches in wrestling have had gimmicks.

They can't make this an interesting match anymore. If they had done things the right way and had Lesnar go undefeated and destroy everyone from now until WrestleMania it would have worked. People would have bought into Lesnar being a threat to Taker's WM streak. Now? No thank you. I'd rather just see a regular arrogant heel Lesnar vs. The Rock.

Dont mind this too much, if they are saving Cena v Taker for Mania 30 then I cant really see anyone else who could take on taker...other then maybe Rock.

But im almost certain we will be set up for Cena Rock 2, with sadly a Cena win

Rock/Brock II - Picture this: Brock has beaten all of the top faces in WWE. Cena (we'll assume he get's his win back), Orton, HHH, Punk. He's beaten them all. All of them except for the Rock, who has returned from Hollywood to........make gay jokes about Brock.

Seriously though, Brock's WM match needs to be invincilbe monster vs. invincible monster, and Taker/Brock will do that better than just about any WM match in history. Rock, for all that he is (and he is a lot of things, one of which is being one of the most charismatic guys in history), he's never been this unstoppable fucking asskicking force of nature. As for Rock/Brock, how do you hype that match? You can't do all the wacky back and forth ala Rock/Cena. If Brock's talking about people shit their pants and that he doesn't give a fuck about WWE because he's a former UFC champ and he can whip anyone's ass, what does Rock do in that angle? Throw a Rock Concert and sing songs about Brock being ugly? That doesn't mesh well, imo.

Rock and Lesnar at WM, with no feud AT ALL on WWE TV is bigger than Taker/Lesnar with a 3 months program for the names and mainstream publicity alone.

Yep. They blew any chance they had with Taker/Lesnar after having Lesnar job his first match back at Extreme Rules. There's absolutely no interest in this match. They can't say Lesnar is undefeated and play up the whole "who will finally stop him" storyline. That is over with.

A cocky heel typical wrestler Lesnar vs. The Rock makes more sense now. Undefeated, unstoppable Lesnar vs. Undertaker's undefeated WM win streak would have made much more sense for those two.

Eh, I still think Taker/Brock is the bigger match, but having Brock lose to Cena right out of the gate damaged the fuck out of it, I'll give you that.

You just can't have Lesnar play up the whole "legit" thing anymore after already losing. Now he's just another average wrestler. How are people supposed to take him as a serious threat to Undertaker's WM streak when he's already lost?
