Default Re: Official Undertaker WM Streak Thread - No Other Threads

I honestly thought of at moments of both HBK and HHH matches it was over, but I was wrong.

I did enjoy the Dave Batista vs Taker match too.

It's obvious it wouldn't go down like that but that doesn't stop people from getting caught up in the excitement of the match and become completely enthralled with the action. Take for instance, at WM25 when Taker was down on the floor outside of the ring and they did that count out that was a legit nerve-racking moment after the suicide dive catastrophe moments before. It's all about the ride Undertaker and his opponents take the fans on that make these Streak matches so special every year.

Default Re: Whats your perfect idea for future Taker feuds/matches/appearances, OR retirement

I can't really say exactly because they do have so many directions they could go, I mean do they plan on just letting him retire or do they plan on giving someone the rub whether its heel or face or even to build someone up further to later fall to someone else?

I think retiring at Survivor Series or WrestleMania are the only real possibilities in terms of location. I don't see anyone being a legitimate threat to beating his streak though so I probably would say Survivor Series and the only names who realistically could take that and utilize it would be John Cena.

I'd probably just have him beat someone like Brock Lesnar in a WrestleMania match and retire, infarct this last years Mania would have been a fitting end.

I think when Cena turns heel, whether that be a year or 18 months, we'll see Taker vs Cena.

Kane, Sting / Brock.

Ideally, Brock this year. Cena WM30. Kane WM31.

Taker HAS to Main Event WM30!

I hope he keeps his health in check and eventually returns to WWE for one more run.
I'll be honest and say, I never watched anything other than WWE when it comes to wrestling, so I don't have any idea how Angle has fared in TNA.

I don't mind him facing Taker at Mania somewhere down the line, but I don't think he would provide with the biggest spectacle for Taker's retirement as compared to, say, The Rock or John Cena, IMO.

I agree.

No way, his match this year was 2nd fiddle to Rock/Cena. No way Taker would retire at a Wrestlemania where he wasn't the main focus.

Undertaker's final match should be a main event of WrestleMania. WM 30 sounds good.

WM 29 - The Undertaker vs John Cena ["I quit" match]
WM 30 - The Undertaker vs Sting [any kind of match]

That would've been perfect for me. But if he's actually gonna keep wrestling for longer he could also face Rock, Lesnar and maybe Angle, if he ever returns to WWE. But anyway his last match should be with Sting.
