Mania wont have a 5 star match then. Only Taker gives 5 star matches at Mania, the rest almost always suck. Look last WM, the only good match other than Taker's was Punk/Jericho and that was a distant 4 star!

Never said buyrates did effect me. You brought up the point of the streak almost being the highlight of WrestleMania every year which would be a blow but since they have Brock Lesnar and The Rock on the bill, I'm sure they'll have no problem with Taker missing out on this year's WrestleMania. Not that hard to figure out.

Undertaker is a legend and one of the most important parts of wrestlemania history.... But yea they'll have no problem with him not wrestling ..... Smh. It's wrestlemania, the superbowl of wrestling. They WANT everyone there possible

Look, I understand this but if he isn't in any condition to wrestle at WrestleMania 29, then he shouldn't. WWE already has Brock Lesnar and The Rock involved in the WrestleMania 29 PPV who will boost the WrestleMania 29 buyrates without The Undertaker involvement this year. Taker can afford to miss this year's WrestleMania. Especially since hes dealing with nagging injuries.

don't mind him taking a year off and having WM 30 be his last hurrah match (against Brock or Cena)

But if he is than Punk is screwed. He will either be a third wheel in Rock/Cena feud or he will likely fight someone else ( and I am not talking about Austin) who isn't up high on the card

I'm just hoping he retires at wrestlemania 30, It just sounds right for him to end it then. Hopefully a hall of famer a few years later, not straight away like edge.

Considering Ric Flair is technically retired and probably wrestles more than Undertaker, he's practically retired anyway. He wrestles once a year and doesn't really appear much more than that.
