Agreed. It's time to move on from that feud, folks.

I think Punk has a better chance at ending the streak then you guys realize. Everyone is penciling in Cena vs Taker next year at WrestleMania but I don't think it's a foregone conclusion.

Austin vs Punk
Taker vs Lesnar
Cena vs Ryback for the WWE Championship is another route they can take.

Lesnar costs Taker the match at WrestleMania 29 and we get the final Undertaker rising from the dead to defeat Brock to end his career.

A victory over Taker would surely cement Punk as the biggest heel WWE's seen maybe ever and sets up Austin v Punk.

If I'm CM Punk I'm not asking for a victory over Rock. I'm gladly putting over Rock and in exchange asking him to take a backseat at WrestleMania 30 so he can feud with Austin. The biggest obstacle for an Austin return is the Rock. Nothing personal it's just a money issue. WWE isn't breaking the bank for Austin with Rock there as well.

Why does Rock have to take a backseat if Austin/Punk should happen? They can have a double main event with Brock/Rock also on the card for example.

I like the idea of Brock taking out Taker to set-up a match at Mania 30. However, Taker should not lose at Mania 29 (nor should he ever lose at Mania for that matter)

They don't wrestle for free. WWE is about maximizing profits. It's just unlikely that Austin would be brought in at the price he's going to demand if Rock Lesnar was already on the card and about to sell 1.3 buys.

Rock and Lesnar (as well as Austin) bring in so many extra buys that the bonus they get is nothing compared to what WWE makes in PPV revenue because of them.

Taker already had dozens of wins against Kane compared to Kane's 3 wins against him.

So, you mean Vince will let The Streak end to someone who's planning to retire by 2015? Right, great investment after 20 years of hard work.

Vice versa. Taker was putting over Kane for all those victories he got all the other times.

The point is if they're maxing out views already Austin really doesn't have any leverage. WWE isn't going to add a significant expense unless it's significantly rising it's revenue.

As for giving Punk the streak when he's planning on retiring in 2015. I can't say you're wrong but there's big money to be made off of Punk in the next few years.

Saw it on another forum and an article which this maybe true.

WWE somewhat sorted out with TNA to rent their superstar Sting for
the coming weeks on WWE. Some say that Sting will appear on
Monday Night Raw following the Royal rumble

Source: http://sportales.com/wrestling/wrest...aker-vs-sting/

Comments? Any suggestions. Will these be the greatest match ever in WM? Discuss
I don't buy that for a second. We'll never see Sting in WWE. The Taker/Sting dream match will never happen.

I would absolutely love Sting vs. Undertaker but I think that ship may have sailed. Two years ago was an amazing opportunity.
