Survivor Series 1992 was the first Survivor Series to not use traditional SS matches, except the 8 man tag. This is one of the most difficult Survivor Series ppvs to book as the roster was pretty thin at the end of 1992. Lots of sudden departures and no one really filled the gaps. The British Bulldog, The Ultimate Warrior and The Mountie were all released prior to the event. Many stars were left off the card (Crush, Bam Bam Bigelow, Marty Jannetty, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Tito Santana, Bob Backlund, Papa Shango and many more) Jerry Lawler & The Steiners made their debuts in December so they don't count. I still ended up enjoying the ppv but I'm a fan of the traditional SS matches concept. The roster was very thin and this is why the concept was axed except one elimination match. A lot of filler matches were booked on the show. Now if they went with a lot of elimination matches then there would probably be many bad matches. I decided to give it a go. I would have gone with a Bret, Macho, Perfect and Jannetty vs Razor, Shawn, Flair & Martel main event match but then the rest of the show would look really bad because of the lack of depth of the roster.
Stars i haven’t used for this ppv: The Bushwhackers, Max Moon, Terry Taylor, The Repo Man, Skinner, The Berzerker and Damian Demento.

SURVIVOR SERIES 1992
Here’s what I'd have done to improve the show using the traditional elimination matches. This is the best i can come up with. I've also included a title match because the Bret/Shawn match was awesome. Were there enough stars to do meaningful 4 on 4 elimination matches, lets see.
Match 1: Elimination Match: Tatanka, Marty Jannetty and High Energy vs The Model Rick Martel, Doink and The Beverly Brothers
This is the opening contest, a good opener for SS. Doink had already made his debut but didn’t wrestle, he just had fun pulling pranks on the faces. In this match Doink and Tatanka both end up getting counted out so Tatanka and Doink remain undefeated. Marty Jannetty ends up becoming the sole survivor of this match by beating Martel at the end.
Survivor: Marty Jannetty
Match 2: Elimination Match: Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Virgil and The Natural Disasters vs The Headshrinkers, Yokozuna and Papa Shango
Now instead of a Yoko/Virgil squash, i’ve decided to make this a team elimination match. This is just to put Yoko & The Headshrinkers over. They destroy everyone lol. Yoko even eliminates Earthquake in this. Shango is the only guy who gets eliminated in the heel team. Duggan is left at the end. Fatu hits his top rope splash and then Yoko hits the banzai drop on Duggan to win the match. Yoko and The Headshrinkers survive.
Survivors: Yokozuna and The Headshrinkers
Match 3: Elimination Match: The Macho Man Randy Savage, The Big Boss Man, Bob Backlund and Tito Santana vs Ric Flair, Razor Ramon, Mr Perfect and Nailz
I’m low on some quality heels so Mr Perfect is still heel here. This is his comeback match as Savage challenged him to step back in the ring. Mr Perfect turns face at the end of this match. Flair accidently nails Perfect. Mr Perfect is pissed and walks away and gets counted out. Savage rolls up Flair and Flair’s out. It comes down to Macho & Razor and Razor gets the win. Flair comes back in and Razor/Flair attack Savage. Perfect runs down for the save and turns face to help Savage.
Survivor: Razor Ramon
Match 4: Elimination Match: The Undertaker, Crush and The Nasty Boys vs Money Inc, Bam Bam Bigelow and Kamala
This is another good team combo. Bam Bam and Crush get DQ’d or counted out. It comes down to The Undertaker vs Money Inc at the end. Taker eliminates I.R.S. with the chokeslam. Then The Undertaker pins Dibiase with the tombstone to become the sole survivor.
Survivor: The Undertaker
Match 5: Champion vs Champion
WWE Title Match: Bret Hart (c) vs Shawn Michaels
Exactly how it was and Bret's title is on the line but not Shawn's. Bret wins.
Winner: Bret Hart
