Re: Favourite Royal Rumble ever and Worst?

My favourite Royal Rumble would have to be 1992, Ric Flair put on the most entertaining performance in Royal Rumble history. Also, this thing was absolutely stacked with big-name talent in Flair, Sid Vicious, Hogan, Savage, Piper, Jake Roberts, Shawn Michaels, Ted DiBiase, etc. This Rumble actually told a story, with the title being on the line. The commentary also added a lot to this match, with Heenan marking out for Flair the entire time.

The worst in my eyes was 1999. All it was about was Vince vs. Austin, and that's literally it. Nothing else mattered. Most thought Austin would win including myself to be honest and make it three in a row, and what's sad is that most knew if Austin didn't pull it off, Vince McMahon probably would. It centered around nothing outside of McMahon and Austin, it carried no weight. No one else stood a chance at winning, and we knew it. I love me some Austin vs. McMahon, but this was overkill.

You really like 1998? You must be a big Austin fan. It was really anticlimatic. His win was obvious.

I always like 1992 the best personally

Favourite - 2001
Least favourite - The last one, bit of a clusterfuck IMO, the whole Nexus dominating the middle part of the match only for Cena to come and bury them all was shit.

Re: Favourite Royal Rumble ever and Worst?

Best one for me is probably 2001. It was the first one and it blew me away.

Worst has to be 1997. For one, the clock didn't work for the first 5 or so guys, so there was hardly any countdown or music. Two, a good quarter of the guys were AAA guys WWE brought in and the crowd couldn't give two fucks about them. The crowd was also dead and the match was so dull. The ending was cool though.

Re: Favourite Royal Rumble ever and Worst?

I liked the 2004 Rumble, it told a good story with Benoit. Started of with Benoit and Orton, other wrestlers would enter, but somehow it would get back to just those two(good accidental foreshadowing to their Summerslam match)then Foley coming in and taking Orton out, everyone teaming up to try and eliminate Big Show. Show surprisingly eliminating Angle, and of course the ending with Benoit and Show, very cool David vs Goliath story.

Honorable mention to 1992 and 2007
