So with the previous brand split, we had monthly branded PPV's, with Raw one month, Smackdown the following month and the Big Four being co-branded.
2016 is a completely different landscape now however, what with us having the Network.
So with that, do you think they might run with having two PPV's a month-one for each brand, split every two weeks?
A pro for this would be that it would create more content and keep storylines/events fresh rather than having to wait every two months for a Smackdown PPV.
A con would be that people liked the fact storylines could be built over a pro-longed period of time and didn't feel rushed.
Or they could merely just cherry pick the relevant feuds and then place them on PPV as they did towards the end of the brand split.
Anyways, would be interested in hearing people's thoughts on this.
If they're going to have brand exclusive PPVs then the gimmick PPVs will need to go, which I would personally be all for tbh if it means no more gimmick PPVs.
I would definitely prefer 4 Smackdown, 4 Raw, and 4 joint PPVs.
This is simply because it would allow more time for them to build storylines, they're going way too fast now. Even recently, they put Club soda together and broke them up a month later.
Keep the 12 events but stretch PPV time out to four hours (something they've played with recently) and have two hours for each show. Then just alternate who gets the second half and literally start a new PPV - intro, commentary etc at the two hour mark - rather than mixing them up.

They probably would do 4 each for Raw and SD and then 4 joint. I can see perhaps a Raw or SD house show special. Like the tour in Japan or BAsh at the Beach being dedicated to one brand or some Saturday Night MAin Event type things at a house show
They didn't always have the Raw and SD exclusive PPVs during the brand split though, they got rid of them in 2007 when the brand split was still in effect. I'm glad they did, cos half the time the PPVs had so much filler in them, even more than normal.
I don't know if I could do a PPV every 2 weeks, that's way too often if you ask me, lol.
They'll probably be joint in the beginning and potentially become brand exclusive if attendance is good. Irregardless, I don't see them doubling up on brand exclusive PPVs every months, that's just going to burn out storylines way too quick.
Well they already run two houseshow touring brand every Saturday and Sunday so they could easily air a raw houseshow on the network every 2nd month and the same for a sd houseshow
Just, no. One PPV a month is more than enough. Every 2 weeks? Again, NO.
And about brand exclusive PPV’s, the idea of them are good. You don’t see guys on PPV every month, stories can stretch out more. There are advantages. But, they could never get to a point where both the rosters were strong enough to support this.
I think they start out wit h12 join ppvs where announcers call their sides matches and the ppv are presented as WWE presents.
What I would want is them to gauge their house show success by giving the Raw and SD brand live specials on maybe a Saturday night after a couple months of them touring solo with their own rosters. From there determine if you want to do separate ppvs.
Maybe show Rw live from Japan or SD live from Mexico on a different day at a glorified house show so to speak.
I do like the idea of making ppvs 4 hours long since they are already 4hrs long with the kickoff show. Them being joint ventures early would work. Raw opens for 2hrs on this month. SD opens 2hrs the next month. You don't even change end times
Well the Big 4 is now Big 5 or 6 with the Money in the Bank and Night of Champions. That means its time for PPVs like Hell in a Cell and TLC have to go because it'd be lame if only Raw superstars can fight in Hell in a Cell and SD can fight in TLC or vice versa. I say just have both shows share a PPV or get rid of the gimmick match PPVs.
I'd prefer them all dual-branded, but I could see them doing a few brand-exclusive Network specials (with glorified house shows), as others have suggested. I also liked someone's idea of each brand getting two exclusive hours with the PPV's each being four hours. If they do split them, I see them upping it to five (or perhaps six), brand-exclusive PPV's, with the big four PPV's still being dual branded (and probably expanded to four hours each - with 'Mania likely being five hours like it was this year). If they did that, I would see it as follows (possibly with two more brand-exclusives in December and KOTR/MITB alternating brands each year):
Royal Rumble Fastlane Roadblock
WrestleMania Payback Extreme Rules Money In The Bank Elimination Chamber Battleground King of The Ring
SummerSlam Hell In A Cell TLC
Survivor Series
Makes me wonder if WWE will ditch MAin Event to bring back Saturday Night Main Event for SD specials. It is an easy do and makes SD seem different from Raw with its longer format and traditional Sunday shows. All they have to do is tape a house show literally since they bring titantrons to the house shows anyhow now.
For what it is worth Booker T told Wrestlezone there would be two tag titles and then said he wasn't sure about the world title as well
