Favorite WRESTLEMANIA Match

My favorite is a 1A and 1B scenario.

1A -WM 25 HBK V.S The Undertaker

The back and forth . The kick outs , when they actually make sense, is perfect . The JR last great commentary. ( Fuck you michael "P"ole)

1B- WM 21 Kurt Angle V.S HBK

Everything about this match was perfect. Its a dream match between two of the top 10 of all time. The ending tap was great.

Re: Favorite WRESTLEMANIA Match

The Ultimate Challenge. It is a match that lasted at the top all alone for 21 years. It now has to share with Cena/Punk MitB 2011. Warrior/Hogan's buildup is probably the best WM main event build in history... it was built as if two gods were clashing. When the match hit, it felt like two gods were clashing. When the match was over, it felt like we all just watched two gods clash. And it is the match that proves it's not the moves you know or doing insane shit... it's all about dragging the crowd into the match and not letting them go. Also, it has the greatest finishing sequence in history... I mean, that boot is usually the end. No one saw that coming.

Honourable mentions: Savage/Warrior... another great story and amazingly emotional match. Savage/Steamboat... it's a masterpiece and everything you can say has been said. Hart/Piper... what a story and Piper proved he was a damn good psychologist. The triangle ladder match at 2000 and the TLC the next year... that was the reason I really watched Raw at the time. Forget Rock/Austin... that tag team division was where it was at.

Thanks for the wonderful memories Ultimate Warrior... happy you got to be recognised as the legend you are before you went. Rest in peace

Raw is like watching Dexter's finale every week... why did I do that to myself for so long?

Yes but the match with warrior and hogan were not great wrestling matches , basically sports entertainment like they want now. If you go the route the rock hogan match had everything . The crowd actually made that a top 15

It was actually wrestling. It was more old school in the moves, but there were some good fundamental wrestling moves. I know some equate "great wrestling match" to "technical wrestling only!" but that mindset is flawed horribly... I've seen some technical matches that had no sense of flow or psychology and flat out sucked. It's all about the psychology. That is what makes Professional Wrestling.

Re: Favorite WRESTLEMANIA Match

Really hard to pick a favourite, it just might be Savage v Flair at WM8. I have a real soft spot for Gorilla/Brain commentary so I normally go back to the golden era classics.

However Austin v Bret is as good as it gets.
