Aussies Going To WM31

Any other Aussies flying over for WM31? It can be difficult to live the dream, if you have no idea of the process of how to get there. Questions on Travel Packages, flights, sights, etc, post them here and we can make things easier for everyone.

I flew to WM27 with 2 friends, and only did the Fri-Tues thing on the Silver Package. Not a single regret at all. In fact, when we landed back in Australia, we said with all that we had seen and done in those 5 days, it felt more like 10 days.

For WM29, I was with 3 friends on a Silver Package, we spent 2 weeks in NY and saw many of the sights and felt the buzz of being in The Big Apple.

Both WM trips have been worth every bit of time, savings and research I've put into them. No regrets at all.

While the wrestling stuff is the focus, seeing the sights, museums, history and culture of the host city means just as much. We are planning on spending 2-3 weeks in California, going to many of the theme parks in various cities, and maybe a day trip to Tijuana from San Diego.

Any other Aussies have plans yet?

I'll be going to my third straight from Aus.

Plans for WM31 so far are spending Sat - Thursday in San Francisco, then hopping the Caltrain down to San Jose for all the WM stuff.

Hotels all booked, just waiting on the right time regarding flights.

3 years running, that's a big effort, but it shows your commitment to the cause, well done. You must have to save like a demon once you've come back from a WM, to do all it again the year after.I didn't go to WM30, what was New Orleans like as a city? And were the venues for Axxess, HOF, WM and Raw better planned than what they were for the hugely time consuming WM29?

I've thought about going every year, but there are so many other places in the world that I want to see, so I'm going every 2nd year. If 33 is Philly, then I'd say I'm going. Could see Philly, Washington and New York in one hit.

Will be heading over for the epic trip. Extremely nervous and unsure on how to get these packages and would live to organise the weekend with a group if possible. Any help would be great!

Hoping to get in the rows 5-12 category do it all big and right for possibly our only Mania.

#4 ·
I'd think the rows 1-4 are the best for packages, 5-12 you could be disadvantages since there is no elevation in the seating so your view might be impaired by others.

Packages will go on sale usually in August and expect the official WM31 thread to be flooding with info, presale codes and the like.

Hey everyone!

I just moved to Aussie this week actually, got my one year visa (hopefully will extend) and looking to maybe go to WM next year, anyone know how much roughly I'd be looking at?!

Might attend the house show in Perth in a few weeks at the Perth Arena, anyone else going?

Welcome to our beautiful country. Where did you move from?

How much WM costs, um, that's got many variables. Depends if you are thinking of buying a WM package through WWE, usually on sale mid August. Then that depends if you are going solo, or as a group of 2, 3 or 4 people. The price decreases dramatically, the more people you have in your touring party. A maximum of 4 are allowed.

Looking at my tix for WM27, which were on the Silver Package (cheapest package);
Axxess $40 (you get tix to 2 sessions)
HOF was $79
WM $108
Raw $64
Plus hotel for 4 nights, it was the Marriott in Atlanta. Total cost for all of the above was about $900.

Looking at my tix for WM29, which were on the Silver Package (cheapest package);
Axxess $50 (again we got tix to 2 sessions)
HOF $105
WM $180
Raw $70
Public transport pass for 4 days.
Plus hotel for 4 nights, it was the Sheraton Times Square. Total cost for all of the above was about $1000.

However, if you plan to buy separate tickets to WM, HOF, Raw and Axxess, all have different on sale dates and you'd have to be aware of those to get the tix you want.

Any other questions, just ask mate and I'm sure myself, or others here who have been, would be happy to answer.

Yeah, same guys re flights from Brisbane. Have not seen anything under $1300.

In 2 weeks time, there is a Flight Centre Travel Expo here. At previous Expo's, Bris-LA return has been $1000-1100. So that is what my mate and I are holding out for. If that price isn't at the expo, we'll wait and do our own research to ge the deal we want.

This is the link to the other Travel Expo's around Australia coming very soon

Got my flights at the Melbourne Travel Expo on Sunday - $1250 return with QANTAS, leaving Friday March 20th and returning Tuesday March 31st. We also got $150 each in accommodation credits, and another $100 back for booking rooms on the day, so ended up booking three nights in Beverly Hills for a grand total of $400. Not a bad start!

#29 ·
Wow. Those prices are outstanding. Looks like Platinum could be my limit. Was hoping for VIP But with 2 of us. Looks costly. Hopefully someone can find out more info. Hmmmm will head over. Just unsure which category ñow.

#30 ·
Going solo, so gonna book everything separate seeing as how the packages are way overpriced.

Prices for some of the packages on a per person basis. These figures are from fans who have emailed WWE with enquiries. I did that myself, and it took only 5 minutes to get a reply. Which totally shocked me as I wasn't even expecting them to reply, let alone so quickly.

So if you have a query over any figures here, email wwe direct to ensure you have the correct amounts.

So many variables there - where would you like to sit, are you thinking of going to Axxess, HOF and Raw as well, and what kind of accommodation are you after?

The two WMs I have been to, I've done the Silver Package and found them good value. Someone who has done buying WM ticket separate, and maybe the other tickets, would be more qualified to answer your questions. The thing I find is with any kind of holiday, is research is the key. Take the advice of others yes, but then also back that up with your own research so you have the facts and figures right in front of you.

#33 ·
I'm going solo this year, but have a few people I have met at previous events I'll be meeting up with over there.

Not doing the package route, as I have bought all separate for previous WMs and the cost isn't too bad. IMO best seats for the value are the first few frows of the the central risers. Great view, decent ring distance at a fraction of ringside seats.

#34 ·
All the best to my fellow Aussies going to WM31.

I still think about how awesome it was at WM30. There were actually a lot of Aussies in New Orleans.

It really is such an awesome experience whether you decide to get a package or not you will still have an awesome time.

#35 ·
Exactly, I still think of my 2 WMs and smile :) The memories don't fade over time.

And yeah, package or not, it's all personal choice. I feel like fans who live in the US don't realise how much more time, money and planning it takes to go to WM from another country, so many of them just say Óh, I don't know how anyone can get a package, you should it how I do, everything separate'. But whatever your time and budget allows, it's an unforgettable experience.

#36 ·
Hi! First time going to WM and pretty keen on the packages just for convenience sake. Just a question, has anyone had their packages sent to their hotel in the US? We won't be in Australia four weeks prior as we would've already left for the us. Just wanted to know if it's possible.. And safe!

Thanks

#39 ·
Both times I have gone, the packages have been sent out via Fed Ex. So no, have never had them sent to the hotel. I have seen where others have used a service called Will Call, to enable pick up from somewhere that is not listed as your home address. Explore the Will Call option, and go to wwe.com and contact them via the travel packages tab. I would put the link in here but i can't access their site right now, due to them being flooded with fans buying the California Dreamin'package :)

It can't be your dream to attend WrestleMania?.. No wonder this world is in such disarray.

#40 ·
Hi guys, I just got a PM telling me to post in this thread haha xD

I'm from NZ, but it's the same part of the world and we're close together so it's cool!

I just booked my California Dreamin' package a couple of minutes ago, and I'm SO excited! I went Platinum for Mania 29 so this is a HUGE upgrade! My Mum and I will be making the trip!

I know I booked five hours after they went on sale, so I probably won't get front row, but I really don't mind! I am absolutely amped about a Premium VIP Axxess session cos I am an unashamed John Cena fangirl haha, I can't wait to meet him!

Plus this whole going to a vinyard with the WWE Legends thingy sounds fun xD

#44 ·
Drewski, yeah I feel that being from the same part of the world, we know that going to an event like WM, so much info is needed in regards to so many things. So if we can help each other, cool, we'll all get there.

As everyone gets their packages or tickets, and plans become more concrete, we can maybe arrange a meet up somewhere over WM week.

#45 ·
Cool to see some fellow Aussies making the trip again this year. Have met some at previous WMs and its always a nice touch.

Congrats to those who got packages early this morning. Definitely saved yourselves any more late nights like the rest of us will when we buy separately!

#46 ·
I went to WM29 and I see you did too. So you know how out of the way Metlife and IZOD Center were. The back and forth daily took a lot of time.

What were the arrangements like for WM30? Closer proximity? How did you find New Orleans as compared to New York? I loved the buzz of New York, could easily go back there and spend a month.

#51 ·
Well I've been to Mania 29 and Summerslam 2013. 2013 was a really good year for attending US based WWE events evidently haha :p

I actually won a trip to Summerslam, it included tickets to the show, Axxess tickets, hotel and flights. It was really awesome. I remember though there were these dudes sitting next to us who left right before Randy Orton's cash-in and Triple H's heel turn. They missed the entire thing LMAO xD

Who's the best person you guys have met at Axxess or whatever? I haven't met anybody that big, that will come for Mania 31. I met The Miz at Summerslam Axxess haha, he was actually really nice xD He was impressed I won the trip to it LOL. I've also met 3MB twice at Mania & Slam Axxess and at Slam Axxess Drew McIntyre remembered my Mum and I from the time at Mania 29  I couldn't believe he actually remembered us xD

Winning a trip to Slam 13 would have been crazy. Would have taken awhile to sink in. Ah crap, for those guys who left before Hunters heel turn and Ortons cash in.

One of the best wrestlers I've met was Ricky Steamboat. When we arrived in Atlanta, my mate Greg, decided to grab a local newspaper, to mark his first day on US soil. As he was going through it, he saw that Steamboat was making an appearance at a local electronics shop. Steamboat was my childhood idol, and Greg and my other mate with us, were also fans. So we went and met him on Saturday morning. We would not have that choice otherwise, without the newspaper. He is a class act, taking times not just to sign for fans, but talk for a minute with everyone. I asked, that if he ever turned heel, who would he like to have feuded with? He said in 1991, a heel turn was talked about and he would have feuded with Bret Hart. I so wished that had happened, would have been a corker.

Yeah, the trip was insane - I found out about it less than two weeks before we had to go! I actually sort of screamed when the woman on the phone told me that I'd won... xD

Can not wait to book next week. VIP package is the way to go me thinks. Any idea what droes I shoukd expect? It says ringside collectible chair so im guessing it's bloody close! Just unsure what row they go up to. Can't wait to purchase then it's a longgggg wait till event time but will be well worth the wait.

Ps 2 of us coming from Melbourne for 4 nights VIP. First mania

#56 ·
Thanks for jumping in. Have never done VIP, so I don't know which row you'd get sorry.

From the time you pay for the package til the time you leave, it may look a long time. I try to keep myself busy, work, gym, sports, etc. I found if I sat around just thinking about how long it is, it did my head in.

Any WM questions, ask away, there are a few here who have been and would be happy to help.
