WrestleMania 32 - The Ultimate Travel Thread III

Thanks to EVERYONE who contributed in the WrestleMania 30 and 31 threads and the OP in that thread 'Abnorman' for creating the thread and idea. His complete and thorough explanation served as the template for this thread. Here is all the information that we've collected so far for WrestleMania 32. Thanks to 'PoyPoy14 for taking time to color code and format this OP. Thanks to ‘Shaska Whatley for letting me take over as the new OP.

1. GENERAL SALE TICKET AND WWE EVENT INFORMATION

2. TRANSPORT & ACCOMMODATION

3. THE WRESTLEMANIA WEEKEND EXPERIENCE

4. DALLAS FORT WORTH TOURISM

5. TRAVEL PACKAGE INFORMATION

6. SELLING/BUYING TICKETS FROM FORUM USERS

7. TWITTER HANDLES & BOARD GET TOGETHERS

**********

1. GENERAL SALE TICKET INFORMATION

[LIST]

[*]One option is to forego the packages and book everything separately. There's a trade off here: Value for increased hassle.

[*]In general, it's best to be ready to buy your tickets DAY-OF to ensure the best seats. It usually takes a while for things to sell out (Axxess, especially, tends to have availability almost up to the event), but you don't want to get caught having to hit StubHub for tickets at beefed-up prices.

[*]PRESALE: There should be a presale on Ticketmaster a few days before the general sale. You will require codes to access this sale. Follow @Wrestlemania and @ATTStadium on Twitter and keep an eye out on this forum and the dirtsheets for all the codes, which will be easy to find.

[*]International buyers will have to pick their tickets up at Will Call (not a major hassle this year). US buyers can get theirs delivered. Last year, Ticketmaster added an option for international buyers to print at home for WrestleMania (not RAW).

[*]In previous years, people have gamed the system by opening a separate (US) Ticketmaster account and transferring their tickets, thus being able to print 'em out and skip Will Call.
[LIST/]

POLICIES FOR WRESTLEMANIA, HoF & RAW:

* Camera lenses cannot exceed 6" when fully extended. No video cameras are allowed.

*For AT&T Stadium, they follow the standard NFL bag policy

additional security policies. Be advised that the sign/banner policy would most likely be lifted for this event.

  • The Hall of Fame is a long night of speeches and little in the way of action. If you're not that into the history of wrestling, you may get bored. Otherwise, it's a great event.

  • DRESS UP. Even if it's a dress shirt with jeans, don't wear a T-shirt you look out of place. All of the wrestlers and their families dress up. you should too. IT'S A RESPECT THING.

[B]RAW:

Monday April 4, 2016

Tickets on sale:

December

$66.00 [$50 + $16] (Club/Loge Box/Rear Floor/100 level)

$107.70 [$95 + $12.70] (Premium Floor Seating)

Info:

  • For the past four years, the post-WrestleMania RAW has rivaled WrestleMania itself for entertainment value.

  • Only 4 day package buyers will have automatic entry to RAW. 3-day packages do not include RAW tickets.

  • Most of the head-on sections in the lower bowl seem to have been taken by the packages. Presale opened up the 300's and the far end 100's last year. Lower bowl was gone within 10 minutes, upper bowl took roughly 6-8 weeks to sell out.

2. TRANSPORT & ACCOMMODATION

FLIGHTS:

  • For flight deals, try Skyscanner.net, Farecompare.com or Kayak.com.

  • Try a few configurations. There's plenty of airports in the US - try breaking up your flight: fly into a hub airport, and then book an onward flight to Dallas.

  • In the USA, flying is often just as cheap (and much faster!) as going by train or bus, so don't assume ground transport will be the best value.

  • There are two Amtrak stations near Arlington, TX one in Dallas and one in Fort Worth.

ACCOMMODATION:

[LIST]

[*]For hotel deals, try sites like Hotwire.com, Kayak.com, Hotels.com, Booking.com or Lastminute.com.

[*]It's also worth noting that if you spot a deal or hotel you like, you should check that hotel's official site as well before booking.

[*]There may also be some late releases from the WrestleCon hotels.

[*]For apartments & rooms, try AirBnB.com.

[*]For hostels, try Hostelworld.com.

3. THE WRESTLEMANIA WEEKEND EXPERIENCE

(These will be made soon)

  • Head to this Facebook page for meet-ups, etc.

  • There's a pretty big Facebook event page made up of (mostly) people from this forum. Check it out here.

MERCHANDISE: Never fear: the WWE will take every opportunity to get money from you. They usually operate a big WWE Store on the stadium grounds with all the goodies. One thing I like (because I always get a souvenir program) is that you can buy program at any time - so you don't have to look after it during an event.

4. DALLAS FORT WORTH TOURISM ****(WILL BE UPDATED AS I LEARN MORE ABOUT THE AREA, I’LL TAKE ALL HELP AND SUGGESTIONS)****

[LIST]

[*] The Dallas Fort Worth Attractions Map

[*]Firstly, WikiVoyage and Tripadvisor are your friends. Check out [URL=’’http://www.dfwandbeyond.com/”]Dallas Fort Worth and Beyond.

FOOD & DRINK:

[LIST]

[*]Drinking age in the US is 21, and it's extremely rare to find any bar or shop that doesn't require ID. For international visitors, this usually means you'll have to carry your passport to bars, etc, as often this is the only form of international ID that will be accepted.

[*]Do a bit of research and you can find something a bit more authentic to suit any budget.

Local delicacies include:

[*] In-n-Out Burger.

One of the best fast food burger chains in the country, as everything is fresh. It is a staple of the West Coast and Texas, and is worth the 15 minute wait. There is a 'secret' menu that regulars know about to enhance their experience.

HISTORY & TOURISM:

5. TRAVEL PACKAGE INFORMATION

  • Each year, the WWE offer several travel packages for people to buy. They include all the major WWE events on WrestleMania weekend and hotel accommodation.

  • The trade off with packages is that they're expensive, but convenient: one relatively stress-free purchase for major WWE events & accommodation.

  • Email travel.packages@wwe.com or call (001)203 359 5182 for any questions

  • Email wrestlemania.packages@wwecorp.com to request to be on the Travel Package mailing list

I actually think it's closer to Fort Worth if your planning on staying in Dallas.
