Re: Wrestlemania 31 Predictions
These are the top four matches I would completely love to happen.
[H] = Heel
[F] = Face
[C] = Champion
WWE Championship Match CM Punk [F] vs Daniel Bryan [C][H]
How Bryan would get there:
John Cena wins the title from Bryan at Survivor Series, only to lose it again to Bryan at TLC 2014. Bryan retains at the Royal Rumble against the winner of a number 1 contender tournament on Raw the night after TLC. He dominates the WWE, but turns heel at the Elimination Chamber, cheating to retain the title in the Chamber against 5 other men, and going on to defend the championship at 'Mania against Punk.
How Punk would get there:
CM Punk, as we know, has quit WWE. He takes a year off, practices and gets in shape. He returns at Royal Rumble 2015 in Chicago to a HUGE pop, as the first participant in the Rumble match. He gives it his all throughout the match, and eventually wins, once again, to a huge pop. He is now main eventing WrestleMania against Daniel Bryan.
There is good build, with a lot of Daniel Bryan being a heel douchebag, etc. Second to last match of the night. Before the bell rings, they have a stand off in each corner of the ring, with the crowd screaming chants, one portion chanting "Daniel Bryan!", and the second portion chanting "CM Punk!" The stage is set. They put on a 4+ star great match, with a lot of false finishes. CM Punk wins, and they both shake hands at the end, for an epic moment.
The Phenom vs The Face John Cena [F] vs The Undertaker [F]
How would it happen?
After losing the title to Daniel Bryan at TLC 2014 and losing in the Elimination Chamber match, John Cena comes out for a promo the night after Elimination Chamber 2015. He says: "You know, I haven't been doing too well lately. I've lost my matches, I've failed my chances, and I've thrown away what I've earned. My career has come to a standstill, because I've done everything there needs to be done in this business already. There is nothing else I need to accomplish. You name it, I've done it. I've decided to take some time off, and get some much needed re-" DONG. Undertaker's theme plays, the lights go out. He has returned. When the lights come back on, he is standing in front of Cena, stairing at the WrestleMania logo. Cena nods slowly and grins. It's on.
There is GREAT buildup. Big drawing match. It is the last match of the night, and they put on a great one. As one of the most unpredictable streak matches ever, they have a lot of false finishes, but Taker eventually wins. They both eventually make it to their feet, but it takes a lot of effort to do so. They stand in the middle of the ring facing eachother, and 'Taker extends his hand for a shake. Cena shakes it, but only for a moment, because then he picks him up for an Attitude Adjustment, drops him, thus turning heel. He leaves with his Thuganomics theme playing and orange lighting flashing around the arena.
Rock vs Brock - Street Fight Brock Lesnar [H] vs The Rock [F]
How would it happen?
Can't be bothered going in to too much detail, but one challenges the other, the other declines but they persist and it eventually becomes a match.
Great match, huge draw. Third to last on the card. Brutal match, a lot of weapons used. Rock wins, as it doesn't really matter because they are both part timers anyway.
World Heavyweight Championship Submission Match Cesaro [F] vs Kurt Angle [H][C]
How would it happen?
Kurt Angle returns on the Raw after Hell in a Cell and wins the World Heavyweight Championship at TLC against Jack Swagger in a Real American vs Real American match. He then loses it to Big E at the Royal Rumble but gets his rematch at Elimination Chamber, winning, but turning heel. Cesaro then challenges him for a match at WrestleMania. Angle initially turns him down, but Cesaro manages to play mind games and get himself a match with Angle.
Awesome match. Incredible. Cesaro wins and the crowd are completely behind him.
