Re: Official: WWE World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber

John Cena is being given another title shot? This is beyond a joke at this point.

Cena was gifted a World Heavyweight Championship match upon his return from injury at Hell in a Cell, despite not having done anything to deserve the title shot.

Then he had his chance to be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at TLC, but he lost fair and square, and Orton unified the titles.

For some reason, the Authority granted him a rematch at the Royal Rumble. Yet the exact same result occurred. Cena lost and Orton walked out champion.

However, Cena has now been announced as one of the participants in the Elimination Chamber, rendering the Authority's edict that the title match at the Rumble would determine the true face of the WWE (ie. end the feud and the loser moves out of the title picture) completely worthless.

Back in 2007, Cena refused to grant Orton a title rematch after Summerslam because, in his words, losing meant you go to the back of the line and others move forward. Apparently, this rule doesn't apply to Cena, who once again proves to be the ultimate hypocrite.

Keep in mind, this is not a blast at Cena. It is aimed at the creative team and their incredibly poor booking of Cena's character. They seemingly have no idea what to do with him outside of the title scene, so they keep throwing him in it, despite how illogical it may be.

Speak of the devil and he shall appear...

Re: Official: WWE World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber

Wyatt will cost Cena early in the match. Comes down to Bryan, Sheamus and Orton. Bryan will pin Sheamus, Sheamus brogue kicks Bryan after being eliminated, Orton gets the win. Sets up Orton/Batista, Wyatt/Cena and sheamus/Bryan for mania.

Top 5.

1. Sheamus
2. Brock Lesnar
3. Cm Punk
4. Bray Wyatt
5. The Shield

Re: Official: WWE World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber

Cena was due a title rematch after getting injured. He was due a rematch after losing at TLC. Who cares, he adds prestige to the chamber and it's not like he's winning...

Re: Official: WWE World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber

I do have one question for anyone who might feel that Dwayne Johnson "owes" the business. Is it just him, or is it anyone who moved on to other things? Should Luna Vachon get heat for running a towing company instead of working on RAW? Should Maven be critiqued on his Home Shopping Network bits instead of wrestling?

Or is it only the ones who go on to highly visible careers in movies that owe something? Why do Johnson (who left after putting people over, doing the traditionally "right thing") and Lesnar (who did not; except for making Eddie a legitimate star) get called sell-outs who "forgot where they came from" when someone who retires to do some regular job get credit (as they should) for moving on and making it without falling into a sea of addiction?

Anyone but Del Rio and Big Show for the final two participants.

Re: Official: WWE World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber

Del Rio/Batista and Punk/Kane are more than likely happening at EC. Possibly Wyatts v Shield as well so that doesn't leave too many options for the 6th spot in the chamber. I'm assuming Lesnar will be in it. Maybe Christian can sneak in there. Would love to see him in it with the company's big dogs and if I'm right about ADR/Batista, Punk/Kane and Wyatts/Shield then I can't think of a better choice than Christian for the final spot.

Brock Lesnar
Kurt Angle
HHH
Edge
CM Punk

Re: Official: WWE World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber

I can't see Orton winning. From the two promos they've had together I think it's clear as day that Orton/Tista just isn't working. The fans just won't accept that match and Batista is already coming off as a bigger heel than Orton. I can really see them going with either Lesnar or Bryan.. Which means Lesnar is probably gonna win.
