Re: Official: WWE World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber
John Cena is being given another title shot? This is beyond a joke at this point.
Cena was gifted a World Heavyweight Championship match upon his return from injury at Hell in a Cell, despite not having done anything to deserve the title shot.
Then he had his chance to be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at TLC, but he lost fair and square, and Orton unified the titles.
For some reason, the Authority granted him a rematch at the Royal Rumble. Yet the exact same result occurred. Cena lost and Orton walked out champion.
However, Cena has now been announced as one of the participants in the Elimination Chamber, rendering the Authority's edict that the title match at the Rumble would determine the true face of the WWE (ie. end the feud and the loser moves out of the title picture) completely worthless.
Back in 2007, Cena refused to grant Orton a title rematch after Summerslam because, in his words, losing meant you go to the back of the line and others move forward. Apparently, this rule doesn't apply to Cena, who once again proves to be the ultimate hypocrite.
Keep in mind, this is not a blast at Cena. It is aimed at the creative team and their incredibly poor booking of Cena's character. They seemingly have no idea what to do with him outside of the title scene, so they keep throwing him in it, despite how illogical it may be.
Speak of the devil and he shall appear...
