I agree this Rumble has the potential to be really good but I'd rate ADR a 3 and Xavier Woods a 0 at this point.

Yeah, I thought about Del Rio too but I think that upper midcarder/occasional main eventer phrase describes him well. Once he's WHC, then he loses to Sin Cara, then he ( probably ) feuds with returning Batista. Also, I think Xavier is pretty popular.

BTW, now I see that other people have other thoughts about particular superstars, so if some Royal Rumble is rated 2 times, then we can calculate the average. My Royal Rumble 2011 is 2,35 and BreakTheWallsDown.'s is 2.175 so calculating the average, it's 2,26.

Ah sorry mate didn't see you'd already done 2011, I'd meant to do the most recent one that hadn't been done yet, I suppose it's good to get as many opinions as possible but I didn't mean to disrespect your own opinion in anyway though.

I'd agree on Del Rio. Xavier's a tricky one, I'd probably label him as a 2 too as he's in the midcard but not over in the sense that he gets much of a reaction from the crowd, he hasn't really jobbed yet so not a 1 but he's not really done much so can see why napalmdestruction might label him a 0.

This is a splendid concept. I've often had inchoate thoughts about the respective strengths of Royal Rumble matches but never did I sit down and devise a mathematical formula for determining it. Rep.

I'd say Xavier Woods is a 0 because he really hasn't done anything and he's involved in a feud with two people nobody cares about. But there's room for discussion.

I tried to do the 2000 Royal Rumble, which I consider to be absolutely rotten and full of jobbers but if somebody was a fan at the time and thinks otherwise you're welcome to chime in.

The 2000 Royal Rumble match

D'Lo Brown (2)
Grandmaster Sexay (2)
Headbanger Mosh (1)
Christian (2)
Rikishi (4)
Scotty 2 Hotty (2)
Steve Blackman (0)
Viscera (1)
Big Bossman (2)
Test (3)
British Bulldog (2)
Gangrel (1)
Edge (3)
Bob Backlund (3)
Chris Jericho (3)
Crash Holly (2)
Chyna (3)
Faarooq (2)
Road Dogg (3)
Al Snow (1)
Val Venis (2)
Prince Albert (1)
Hardcore Holly (2)
The Rock (6)
Billy Gunn (3)
Big Show (4)
Bradshaw (2)
Kane (4)
The Godfather (2)
X-Pac (3)

Average: 2.3

No one's done 2007, so I'll have a stab:

Royal Rumble 2007
1 - Ric Flair (4)
2 - Finlay (3)
3 - Kenny Dykstra (2)
4 - Matt Hardy (3)
5 - Edge (6)
6 - Tommy Dreamer (2)
7 - Sabu (3)
8 - Gregory Helms (2)
9 - Shelton Benjamin (2)
10 - Kane (6)
11 - CM Punk (3)
12 - King Booker (4)
13 - Super Crazy (1)
14 - Jeff Hardy (3)
15 - The Sandman (1)
16 - Randy Orton (6)
17 - Chris Benoit (6)
18 - Rob Van Dam (4)
19 - Viscera (1)
20 - Johnny Nitro (3)
21 - Kevin Thorn (1)
22 - Hardcore Holly (3)
23 - Shawn Michaels (6)
24 - Chris Masters (2)
25 - Chavo Guerrero (2)
26 - Montel Vontavious Porter (3)
27 - Carlito (3)
28 - The Great Khali (3)
29 - The Miz (0)
30 - The Undertaker (6)

Total = 94
Average = 3.1

I think I've been too generous on some of them. 2007 is tricky because you had ECW as a relatively strong(!) brand back then. Some lower mid-carders could probably be knocked up/down 2.

My bad, was just a copy and paste error however so makes no difference to the total/averages, I'll edit him into the post now for clarity.
