People hate this Mania because of this:

Exactly. It was good show. My only difference with you is that I felt that HHH/Brock was an entertaining match. Best match on the show was the main event, but like you said it gets alot of shit for only one reason.

Decent show, underwhelming for Mania.

The ending gets a little too much hate but whatever.

Re: WrestleMania 29 was a solid PPV

I went to about 6 wrestling shows that weekend and Wrestlemania might have been the worst of them all.

When I look back at Wrestlemania weekends that I go to I usually have a great memory that I remember better then anything. In Atlanta it was Taker kicking out of the Tombstone, in Miami it was The Rock winning and Taker kicking out the SCM/Pedigree combo. Those were the best moments of the trip. Last year my best memory of the weekend was Ziggler winning the title on Raw. If I were to make a list of my top 5 favorite moments I don't think any of them would come from Wrestlemania and that's a problem. Thankfully I lived 2 hours away and I had a great weekend but I had an amazing weekend in spite of going to Wrestlemania not because of Wrestlemania.

Re: WrestleMania 29 was a solid PPV

WM 28 at least had things like the ten man tag match, Orton/Kane, Punk/Jericho, HHH/Taker to make up for things like Cena/Rock. WM 29 didn't have much at all to make up for their embarrassing main event.

My review: Top ten matches of 2014.

Shawn Michaels
Chris Jericho
Brock Lesnar
Kurt Angle
HHH
Edge

how many great wrestlemanias has there been though, mania has always been about the occasion, grandeur and spectacle and less about the in-ring quality. fans every year expect a blow-away mania and it never really happens, even now go back and re-watch 17 and you see better stuff on raw these days than took place the first hour of that show.

Re: WrestleMania 29 was a solid PPV

Anyone who thinks Cena/Rock I and II were bad would have never made it through any era in WWE history. That is your typical high stakes, larger than life atmosphere, between two titans, and it will always satisfy the customer. There is Hogan/Andre, Hogan/Warrior, Austin/Rock II, Hogan/Rock, and Cena/Rock. Any of those is a prototype of the WWE main event style. I am glad I am not the smarky, hating on the top guy kind of fan I used to be. I am starting to "get" it again.
