RR2008:
the match from start to finish was breathtaking.
And it was maybe the most star studded rumble ever.

First you have taker and hbk start the match then legends coming in like piper, snuka and foley, then cena returns to shit everybody's pants followed by a huge pop and goat commentry by jr,it truely made for a epic moment and arguably the top3 stars of that time in last 3.

Others includ rr 05,04,01

For the Rumble match itself, it's hard to pick just one. 92, 98, 2002, 2004, and 2007 instantly come to mind. Flair's win was epic, loved the crowd for 98, Perfect's return in 2002 was so awesome, Benoit's win in 2004 was so personally satisfying, and the Taker/HBK confrontation in the last few minutes of the 2007 Rumble was a sign of greater things to come at Mania years later.

Talking match card outside the Rumble itself, hard to argue with 2000. Tazz's debut against Angle, tag team tables match, and the HHH/Cactus street fight.

No idea why people rate the 2007 Rumble match so high. Sure, the last 20 minutes or so with HBK and The Undertaker were awesome, but the rest of the Rumble was pretty average and forgettable.

The year Vinnie Mac won it or the year The Rock won it but him and Big Show touched the ground at the same time.

One I'm not really seeing is the 1996 match. Sure, it wasn't the best but still deserves top 10 consideration. I was a huge Michaels mark as a kid and watching him super kick Diesel over the top rope to win was so exciting. I also loved the Vader-Yokozuna showdown.

2001, for me.

1991 was good and 2002 was decent as well.

1992 is filled with stars and didn't really need to leave anyone out because the title was on the line, but I think the early rumbles were just too slow for pace with not enough action. That's why '92 misses out at the top of my list.

I watched 1988 recently and I know it's the first one, but it's quite bad. It set the tone a little for a few of those to come; too much 'holding' in the corners, lots of axe handle smashes and rarely any explosive entrances where someone comes in and clears house or makes any impact. I don't think this was properly developed and mastered until the mid-late 90's, where Austin, for example, was fantastic at this.

Entrance music has made a big difference and added to the drama too, I think. I believe 1996 was the first to have this for all entrants and this seemed to give the crowd a pop and get momentum going.

For the entire match card, a few have said it but I really enjoy 2000. Street Fight, first ever Tables, but even the IC title was unique and the tag titles match was practically a squash match; Outlaws turned over The Acolytes in about 2 minutes!

I still love when Too Cool danced at the Garden. JR's call was great too. "We're gonna dance for a little h-while."
