3MB: Ways to push and eventually disband The Three Man Band

3MB has become the most stale group on WWE TV, with no direction and creative seemingly having nothing for them, it's near perfect timing to give The Band there swan song with no encore and disband 3MB.

In my opinion Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre and being dragged down in this group. Sure, they aren't main event material just yet but they are solid workers non the less. McIntyres from grace has been epic since being Mr McMahon's hand picked "Chosen One" and as for Heath Slater, well I don't know anyone who didn't some what enjoy his little legend matches on RAW on the build up to RAW 1000! Yes it had been done before (Randy Orton's Legend Killer storyline comes instantly to mind) but it was funny and worth watching just to see who came out, plus it showed Heaths non-to-bad mic skills

As for Jinder Mahal, I just don't get him anymore, from Khali's brother in law to this... I don't particularly see a bright future with him, his in-ring skills combined with his poor mic work makes me think I can only see NXT for the former #14 entrant at The Royal Rumble.

I'd love to see all three men go there separate ways

Mahal - NXT
Slater - SmackDown
McIntyre - RAW

But first you'd have to a way, a storyline to break up The Band!
And that got me thinking, The Band hasn't faced another Band, so to speak. So touching a bit on Heath Slaters old losing to legends gimmick, have The Band face The Old Band!

You could have almost anyone in The Old Band. WWE currently have Road Dogg, Billy Gunn and X-PAC signed as road agents and, in Sean Waltmans case, an evaluator. You could cut a backstage segment with the old DX members talking and have 3MB interrupt them and after a bit of verbal bashing maybe have one of 3MB slap one of the Old DX guys, leading to weeks of promos, one on one and tag matches all culminating at a Pay Per View match where the losers would have to disband and never wrestle together ever. Now, WWE aren't going to use that card on Road Dogg, Billy Gunn or X-PAC just incase the opportunity arrives for them to use a full DX reunion, so logically 3MB would lose, break up and go there separate ways

But it doesn't even have to be those 3 guys, it could be just 2 and have the 3MB make fun of them. Again, WWE has still signed to them Arn Anderson, Ricky Steamboat, Ric Flair etc. a lot of old school wrestlers who could work the same roll and the same concept of eventually beating 3MB and having them disband. (Although I highly doubt Ric Flair would do this as he is retired from the WWE ring)

Also, I came up with a way that this could have Richie Steamboat debut in WWE. Lets say it's 3MB vs Arn Anderson and Ricky The Dragon Steamboat at, for this instance lets say it's the Over The Edge PPV. It could be highlighted that Steamboat Jr is in the crowd, and of course this being a 3-on-2 handicap match, all that needs to be done Is the red accidentally caught with something, knocking him down, have Steamboat Jr jump the barrier, hit his finisher on 3MB, have him and his father do a double splash from the top rope to a couple 3MB members while Anderson spine busters the other, Steamboat Jr leaving the ring just in time as the ref wakes up and makes the 3 count.
You would have 3MB broke up, Steamboat Jr debuted and even a good mod card storyline to run with, one of 3MB could feud with Steamboat Jr as his first storyline in WWE.

Ultimately 3MB breaks up, Mahal goes away, Slater becomes a solid mid carder on SmackDown and McIntyre goes off to RAW in the draft with a little push against maybe one of the upper midcarders to re-establish himself

Some people may like 3MB, I just think the TV time could be spent better giving it to someone else

3MB is around just to keep McIntyre, Slater and Mahal busy. When they split Slater and McIntyre should go immediately to the midcard while Mahal .. I don't see anything appealing in him. Slater could be the next generation heel, he is so good at the microphone and nobody likes him, while McIntyre needs to be repackaged, he is a above average wrestler.

This. Exactly.

3MB shouldn't disband. If they did, none of these three wrestlers are likely to receive a push. Instead, they'd just job to whatever face needs a win (and likely only on Superstars and NXT instead of Smackdown and Raw.) Even worse, all three would be on the short list of possible future endeavored talent since anyone on NXT or even the lower midcard can fill their jobber role. 3MB keeps them employed and relevant.

They cannot be pushed as a stable. I don't think any of them could be pushed past the midcard, full stop. I could only buy McIntyre as a lower card singles champion and definitely not with his current gimmick. As it has already been stated: their sole purpose is jobbing.

Heath Slater- He needs to be a combination of Honky Tonk Man, and Jeff Jarrett with a splash of Slater. Dye the hair black, and get new attire. The other two notice this sudden change in Slater, and he tells them to forget the Heath. Make Slater come off as the star of the band, and thus creating the eventual split on his own. I want to see him coming out with a guitar. Eventually you bring back The Honky Tonk Man who would take Slater under his wing. The One Man Band returns, and Honky Tonk Man is his mentor. Honky eventually talks Slater in to leaving 3MB, and going solo. Slater eventually would turn on Honky Tonk, and we see no more of The Honky Tonk Man. Basically, Slater goes solo, and takes a strong IC title run with him.

Jinder Mahal- Needs fired.

Drew McIntyre - I want to see him come up with this angle involving Piper. I think he should play it off as Piper being his boyhood idol. Drew claims that when he first go to the WWE all he wanted was to be on Piper's Pit. Eventually, Drew does enough talking that Piper returns, and grants Drew the rights to the last Piper's Pit show ever. This turns into a dream come true for McIntyre. Then along comes Wade Barrett. He makes fun of Drew, and Piper. Barrett claims this is a joke, and it's pathetic. Ironically enough this would be a set up on Piper. Drew turns on Piper with Wade Barrett. An old tag team is reunited, and Piper is humiliated.

3 steps:

1) fire McIntyre. He's garbage. Anyone who's a fan and still for some reason thinks he has world title potential must have at some point sustained a serious head injury.
2) fire jinder. See above only slightly less harsh.
3) keep Heath around as a jobber. At least he can sell and can be funny on the mic.

3MB issue solved.

1) Garbage? hmmm really? NO! NO! NO! We'll see after 3MB, probably revive the chosen one or repackaged to something in between or close to his thee drew Galloway gimmick?
2) He just needs repackaged, could be good as a face!
3) Slater is pretty damn good a jobbing and sells well, but is hard to take serious, he has his place though!
4) Cersaro = Please don't trip over any more steps Mr Clumsy! :woolcock :agree:
