He's made it clear for a long time now that he wants to be a heel and prefers it to being a face yet WWE refuses to let him turn. Its not like his merch sells like Cena's, i know SD's had a lack of faces for a while but since Del Rio turned face and Christian will most likely return as a face soon it seems Orton could easily turn heel without it affecting the balance of heels and faces. Plus the brand split is over anyways Raw guys show up on SD and SD guys show up on Raw every week.
Yeah Orton gets great pops but he is miles better as a heel. I know most will say "he's not really a face or a heel he doesn't like anyone" but i mean come on he panders to the crowd, and he's only able to feud with heels. So while he has this bad ass i don't like anyone attitude as a face he could really be the true ass hole he is inside as a heel and would make his character alot better. Because as its been said by many wrestlers, the best wrestlers are themselves with the volume turned up.
Yea the writing is as bad as it can get right now. No way he should job to no names like this. I say no name because even when he losses to them those wrestlers lose a push just weeks after beating him. Barrett losing to Bo Dallas? Where is Bo? Henry not winning at EC, Swagger will lose at WM.
Because he's the only top face that is consistently and universally cheered, and there's not really anything he could do to turn heel. He's pretty much a watered down version of his 2009 heel character as it is.
yea ortons a tweener his type of persona though he can easily exchange heel and babyface through out and still be liked and no superstar wear sells like cenas lol
The WWE probably doesn't want to use Orton or fulfill any of his wishes because the guy has 2 damn strikes against him.
I used to think Orton was boring and through time I have come to dislike the guy in the WWE so I'm glad the WWE is not using him and I hope they keep on making him lose to heels again and again and again,Just have Orton put heels over and then have him officially become a jobber and then just have him leave.I do not want to see the WWE use this guy,He's extremely boring and only enjoyable to watch when losing.
He's over as fuck as a face. Right now the WWE has hardly any faces - they are sleep walking into a crisis right now, after turning Punk heel. Once Rocky disappears again, who are the main event faces? Sheamus, Ryback, Orton, Del Rio and Cena. Out of them, Orton and Cena are the only reliable draws, and Cena is a heel to half of the audience.
Because he's one of the few established top faces in fact i think he's the only one besides Cena and Rock. Also he's managed to stay over with the crowd.
Because him as a heel would work wonders and make him interesting again. The WWE doesn't seem to want to do that so thus you have why Orton's still a face.
Randy Orton is not that great as a heel tbh, he would have to carry a lot of mic work and his promos are very slow and dull. Plus when he is a heel his moveset purely consists of stomps. I prefer him as a face.
Not really hard to see why WWE are keeping him as one either, he is consistently over and I bet he sells plenty of mech, he is in a comfortable position for them, he can be pushed to the main event as a top face at any point without much effort.
Orton isn't exactly a huge draw, but I guess WWE believes he is a stronger one than Sheamus and possibly Del Rio. Hopefully he can turn heel by Summer time this year.
Orton is a great heel and will turn eventually, maybe after Wrestlemania?
He's a good face as well, the fans cheer him heavily and he's had some great feuds when the writing was there (Sheamus in 2010, Christian, Mark Henry).
WWE doesn't have faith in any of their other faces to carry the SmackDown brand. If they did, Orton wouldn't even be on SmackDown to begin with.
