I agree, I don't watch SD because it isn't live. IF SD was live, I'd watch every episode as I do Raw. Why waste 2 hours when I can just read the spoilers?

That's a dumb mentality to have. Why even watch wrestling if you don't care to even watch the show. It's not a real sport so I don't why some people only care about the results. It's like saying why watch a sports game when I can just read the box score or why watch a television program when I can read a recap? Spoilers don't tell you everything about the show.

My problem with Smackdown is twofold. I don't like the editing they do with the crowd noise and I don't like that's it's on Friday night. What was wrong with Thursday? Friday night is a terrible time slot.

Re: Will WWE ever change the way they do Smackdown?

fixing smackdown would be pretty easy imo:
1. Have it live

2. No raw recap, or any recaps for that matter

3. No more pointless matches like sheamus v wade or wade v orton that have nothing on the line, every match has something at stake, whether it be a tournament to determine the number #1 contender for a title, a best of 5/7 series of matches for a title

4. Each week the fans choose 1 matchwho they want to face off the following week via wwe app or wwe.com or whatever and what stipulation from a variety. Every smackdown member is votable and the match types are those such as last man standing, 2/3 falls, i quit, submission, tables, chairs, basically anything other than hell in a cell/cage or anything that is ppv worthy. This would ensure viewers would tune in every week as they want to see their match and who cares if they choose the same wrestlers/matches, a feud/storylines could easily develop just off this.

5. Bring back the cruiserweights and actually let them have storylines and mic time

6. Let heels have 30 seconds during their entrance time before most matches to rip/egg on the crowd, it is an easy way and time efficient way to get the fans invested in the matches

7. Have longer matches and no squash matches, only have suprise squash beatdowns ie out the back, in the crowd with weapons, this would actually make them impactfull

Re: Will WWE ever change the way they do Smackdown?

The problem with Smackdown isn't who's on it. It's that nothing important happens on it. Even WWE has given up on even pretending like it does. You always see RAW recaps on SD!, but never the opposite. Why would I watch a show where I know going in nothing that nothing that happens on it will matter?

Kinda like Superstars, until they canned it. Kinda like ECW was for a while. Shit was entertaining, and actually gave viewers fresh faces to watch. Smackdown will probably "forever" be the B show where storylines don't progress and 2 feuds are combined into a tag team match. Sucks.

That has got to be Kane.

Stone Cold Steve Austin
The Undertaker
Shawn Michaels
Chris Jericho
Brock Lesnar

Why not make it thursday nights and live again? They really care that much about house shows? Everyone I know never watches smackdown anymore. How much of a difference will it make if it's live and not on a Friday? And also HAVE EVERYONE THERE.
Live again? Smackdown was never live, except for the odd special once or twice a year (which they still do).

Re: Will WWE ever change the way they do Smackdown?

What kills Smackdown is this Raw Supershow. Keep guys on their own brand and they can develop story lines and feuds. If Smackdown kept their young talent and used NXT guys randomly to give them some exposure, it would trump Raw. I love Punk, Cena, Rock and so forth, but watching younger talent on NXT right now is the best option.

Smackdown lacks star power.

It should be live and RAW storylines should continue on it.
