Main Event:

MizTV with Ryback kicks off the show. Rybacks told Miz that he was a big fan of the show. They talked about last week's match with Antonio Cesaro, which prompted Cesaro to come out insulting Miz and Ryback. This led to our first match, Cesaro vs. Ryback.

* Ryback defeated Antonio Cesaro by count out. At one point Ryback had Cesaro up for a standing suplex for about 10 seconds, which was impressive. Ryback pretty much dominated the whole match with the exception of Cesaro knocking him out the ring for about 9 seconds. This led Cesaro to control the match for a few minutes before Ryback regained control. Ryback went for Shell Shock, but Cesaro escaped and kicked Miz (who was on commentary) in the face before escaping though the crowd. Huge heat for Cesaro.

A recap was shown of RAW Roulette and the segment with Vince McMahon and Paul Heyman.

Backstage segment with The Prime Time Players and Tensai. PTP make fun of Tensai for wearing lingerie. Brodus Clay walked in and told Tensai not to sweat it. Tensai got mad, said it wasn't funny and walked away.

* Tensai vs. Titus O'Neil (with Darren Young) is up next. At one point, PTP were going to double team Tensai, but Brodus came out and said no. Brodus stayed at ringside and was supporting Tensai. There were lot's of "Let's Go Tensai" chants. Titus bodyslammed Tensai at one point. Later, Tensai got Titus in the corner and mocked his doc call. Tensai picked up the win via pinfall. After the match, Brodus Clay got Tensai to dance. Looks like we just saw a face turn.
SMACKDOWN:

Smackdown kicks off with Booker T entering the ring for his big announcement. Sheamus, Randy Orton, Dolph Ziggler, The Great Khali, Kane and Daniel Bryan are in the ring for the announcement. Alberto Del Rio is shown outside with a bat waiting for The Big Show. Booker starts to announce that they will compete in the Elimination Chamber, but gets interrupted by Jack Swagger. Swagger says that he wants in the Chamber match, even though there are only 6 spots. Ziggler says he already has a guaranteed shot and that he isn't competing in the Chamber. Booker T said that Ziggler can chicken out of the Chamber match, but he can't chicken out of his match with Alberto Del Rio tonight. As for the others, they have to impress Booker and Teddy Long to gain a spot.

* Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara vs. WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No is our first match of the night. Kane and Rey start. Rey gets some offense in early on and tags in Sin Cara, who gets dominated by Kane. Daniel Bryan is tagged in and Cara gains the advantage. Fast paced match with the crowd behind Rey and Sin Cara. Late in the nmatch, Kane is working over Sin Cara and tagged in Bryan, while Cara made the hot tag to Rey. Rey got in some offense on Bryan and set him up for a 619, but Kane tried to block it with a chokeslam. Rey kicked Kane out of the ring, and Bryan locked in the No Lock. Sin Cara broke it up, Rey hit the 619 on Bryan and gets the win. Team Hell No argued after the match. Said to be a great match.

A video recap of Alberto Del Rio and Big Show from The Royal Rumble and RAW is shown.

Matt Striker attempts to interview Del Rio outside, who is still waiting with a bat. Del Rio said that he was getting fresh air and told Striker to leave him alone.

A recap of the 3MB - Great Khali segment from RAW is shown.

* Jinder Mahal (with Drew McIntyre and Heath Slater) vs. The Great Khali (with Natalya and Hornswoggle) is next. 3MB tried to interfere, but Hornswoggle blocked that. Khali destroyed Mahal in a short match.

Backstage segment with Booker T and Teddy Long discussing Jack Swagger's return, and Teddy Long revealed that it was his idea. Team Rhodes Scholars interrupted and quoted something, and then hugged for a long time. Booker makes Sheamus vs. Damien Sandow for later tonight, and then said, "you're welcome."

A recap of the Vince McMahon - Paul Heyman segment from RAW was shown, which was the same package shown on Main Event. A WWE exclusive video showing Vince being stretchered out of the arena with Stephanie beside him is also shown.

Del Rio is shown out back still waiting.

A recap of John Cena winning the Rumble, deciding on which title to go after and then getting attacked by The Shield is shown.

* Damien Sandow vs. Sheamus is in progress. It looks like the Shield might interrupt this match as extra security was just set up near the side they usually come through, plus some camera men headed that way. Sandow took the early advantage. Sheamus fought back and started to dominate when the Shield entered and attacked Sheamus. Rollins is in first, but gets laid out by Shbeat him down and then planted him with the triple power bomb. The hits were hard, and Rollins sold well. The Shield then left through the crowd.

* Wade Barrett vs. Randy Orton. Barrett dominated early. He sat Orton on the middle rope and kicked him off it to the outside. Cool move. Outside of the ring, Barrett missed a forearm into a pole. Orton put him in the ring and hit an RKO for the victory.

Backstage Wade Barrett is being interviewed about losing to Bo Dallas, but says nothing. Barrett sees Dallas and attacks him. Dallas fights back, but Barrett throws him into gear.

* Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger. Swagger dominated Kofi early on using wrestling moves. Kofi kept trying to find back, but Swagger kept putting him back down. Kofi finally is able to knock Swagger down and hits the Boom Drop. Swagger fights back, but Kofi sends him out of the ring. They fight outside with Kofi missing a kick and accidentally kicking the announce table. Swagger then rolled Kofi in the ring and defeated him via submission with the ankle lock. Swagger looked good, it looks like he'll be getting pushed.

Back outside, and Del Rio hides as The Big Show's bus pulls in. Big Show gets out and Del Rio attacks him. Show tries to get away and tries to climb on top of a car. Del Rio breaks the window and they fight on top of the car. The play a game of chase around the car before Show gets in another car and drives off.

A recap of The Rock - CM Punk segment from RAW is shown.

* Alberto Del Rio vs. Dolph Ziggler. This was said to be really good. The crowd was hot for Ziggler early on. Early in the match, Del Rio was on the top rope but AJ Lee distracted the referee and Big E pushed Del Rio to the mat. The referee then ejected AJ and Big E, but the distraction put Ziggler in control of the match. Ziggler kept control for awhile until Del Rio managed to catch him on the top rope and superplexed him. The crowd is behind Del Rio, who plants a side kick to Ziggler's face. Ziggler kicked out and countered Del Rio's arm lock and hit a famasser, but Del Rio kicked out. Del Rio hit a backbreaker, but Ziggler kicked out. Del Rio jumped off the top rope, but Ziggler caught him in the air with a drop kick. The crowd started chanting, "this is awesome!" Del Rio eventually locked in the arm bar to get the win.

As Del Rio celebrated, Big Show is shown backstage holding Ricardo by the neck and then delivered the KO punch. Del Rio rushed backstage and Ricardo is knocked out. The show ended at this point.

Post-Show

Big Show comes out to the ring in street clothes and talks trash and insults the crowd. Del Rio tries to make it to the ring, and fights trainers to come out to the ramp. Del Rio eventually breaks through and runs in, but Show spears him. Show then grabbed a chair. Del Rio managed to get the chair and nail Big Show with it about 10 times. Show then rolled out of the ring and ran away. Del Rio celebrated in the ring to a huge pop.

The Rock vs. CM Punk
John Cena/Ryback/Sheamus vs. The Shield (maybe a fight in the chamber, only as "teams" kinda similar to a lethal lockdown)
Del Rio vs. Show some stipulation for world title
Jericho vs. Ziggler
Hell No vs. Rey/Cara
Barrett vs. Dallas
Miz vs. Cesaro
Orton vs. Swagger vs. Khali vs. Sandow vs. Rhodes vs. Christian/Henry in the chamber

final predictions. barrett/dallas probably on pre show.

You think WWE would announce all of those ahead of time? Especially with only two weeks build? Not saying they won't all happen, but Barrett/Dallas would likely not be announced. Miz/Cesaro may not be announced either.

The Smackdown chamber is LOL worthy. Even with Sandown/Christian and/or Henry. Khali and Swagger? Even Orton isn't that relevant. Though he remains over.

Barrett/Orton for like the 54775575334th time.

Barrett/Orton again... oh my. Guess Orton's getting his win back from the last match. Meh, it doesn't even matter. Barrett already lost to Bo Dallas earlier in the week. After that losing to Orton might actually restore some credibility (of course winning would restore more, but I'm not holding my breath).

That's what happens when you don't have a solid mid-card. They need to put Ambrose, Rollins and Reign in matches. At least they can have matches with Sheamus and Ryback instead of always attacking. Is getting pretty old pretty fast but the bottom line is WWE had a solid chance this last decade to be set in the mid-card and main event together but they blew it with guys like Shelton, Morrison, Carlito and MVP.

Barrett's facing Orton again? Instead of him having the same matches over and over again, how about you know.... letting him cut some promos and establish his character? God, I hate WWE.

Barrett vs. Orton...jesus.

Seriously, without boring me with explanations about money, can someone actually tell me why Smackdown exists?
House show purposes?

Meh, you know what, Barrett/Orton ain't so bad. At least that match usually has a different result each time unlike other match-ups that happen multiple times a week like Barrett/Sheamus, Sandow/Sheamus, Rhode Scolars/Hell No, and Cena/Ziggler which happen a billion times and always have the same result.

My god, why even HAVE a creative team at this point? It's Barrett vs Orton every other fucking week.

Of course Orton's going to win too, won't that be a joy...

You and me both.

The reason he doesn't get promos and character establishment is because the whole point is to sabotage him so he doesn't get over. That's what it's always about with Vince and the English, just doing anything he can to make sure of it.

They know what he can do on the mic but he doesn't get mic time. I smell a conspiracy here. Bottom line is WWE wants to keep Cena, Sheamus, Ryback and Orton on top while guys like Barrett & Cesaro will probably never make it to the top.

I'm not sure what you mean...is this a plea or a statement?

WWE are just throwing these two guys together without any reason whatsoever. The early 2012 rivalry is a distant memory and it's the equivalent of two planks of wood fighting each other.

Fuck it, I won't be watching anyway, dunno why I'm complaining.

#140 ·
Barrett lost to Orton? Meh, I ain't even mad at that happening anymore. Like I said, once you've lost to some rookie nobody clean in less than 5 minutes, what's the point anyone getting invested in you? I don't know if Vince hates English and I don't care too much about that specifically, but he hates Barrett, that part is clear, and that's the part that sucks.

Here's an idea, don't watch Smackdown.

Barrett vs. Orton
Barrett vs. Sheamus
Orton vs. Cesaro
Sheamus vs. Sandow

they always do the mid card over and over...

remember

Zigger vs. Kingston
Del Rio vs. Santino
Ziggler vs. Sheamus

it was the same thing.

This is why we need those older midcarders back.

Imagine how smackdown would look, if it looked like this on paper.

Wade Barrett vs. MVP
Antonio Cesaro vs. Shelton Benjamin
Sheamus vs. Carlito
Randy Orton vs. Mr. Kennedy
Damien Sandow vs. Finlay
Cody Rhodes vs. Not Fat Matt Hardy

sigh the 06-07 midcard completely dead.

#144 ·
judging by wins and loses.

Great Khali, Randy Orton and Kofi Kingston are in....

who replaces Team Hell No? since Sandow and Rhodes also lost.... they should just throw in Del Rio and Show have it be for the title, have Henry return. Orton win the title. Ziggler cash in immediatley afterward.
Orton vs. Del Rio vs. Ziggler probably solved.

Here's an idea, let's take a look at all the (notable) faces and all the (notable) heels (not listing Rock and Brock for obvious reasons:

Faces:

Cena
Ryback
Sheamus
Orton
Mysterio
Cara
Bryan
Kane
Kofi Kingston
Miz
Del Rio
Jericho

Now let's look at the heels:

CM Punk
Damien Sandow
Wade Barrett
Antonio Cesaro
Big Show
Dolph Ziggler
Big E Langston
Jack Swagger

Now... instead of doing Sheamus vs. Sandow and Barrett vs. Orton, each match that has been done to the death, how about:

Punk vs. Orton
Ziggler vs. Del Rio
Cesaro vs. Bryan
Kingston vs. Sandow
Sheamus vs. Rhodes
Cena vs. Big E Langston
Barrett vs. Jericho

Look at that. Matches we haven't seen a billion times in the last 3 months.

No, Barrett lost to a nobody this week. Kofi's at least jobbing to a former World Champion who has some minimal success.
