Re: What Was SmackDown's Most Successful Reign Ever?

I really liked Booker T's/King Booker's, Batista's and Mark Henry's reigns.

Re: What Was SmackDown's Most Successful Reign Ever?

I don't care about business/PPV numbers, I'm a fan, not an accountant.

The best reign by a purely entertainment standpoint was BSL's

For anybody that didn't get the reference, I mean JBL.

Quote:
I realise where they're going and that WWE will push Roman Reigns straight to the top. However for me, Dean Ambrose is by far the most talented in that group and I think eventually if they just give him the spotlight then he's going to shine. As soon as he touches a mic everyone else can just sit down as he's magic on it. So It remains to be seen, I think they're all talented but to me Dean was the star of that group. I think Roman looks like the star of that group but I don't think he's nearly as talented as Dean.

Jesus Christ at most of these answers, I guess reading properly is art indeed these days. I was fucking asking about the best reign in terms of business, and it seems that almost everyone has the need to be a smart ass and Cpt. Obvious with "I don't care about numb3rz, JBL was da beeest!" (well, no shit) cliches. Smh... I guess those answers really represent the sad state of the WWE section.

Re: What Was SmackDown's Most Successful Reign Ever?

Smackdown was consistently good up to 2002 when I stopped watching. When I came back to WWE in 2009 I preferred it to Raw. These days it's unusual that I watch 15-20 minutes of the 2 hour show.

Hopefully a return to form is coming after 1 really good show last night.

LOL at Rock marks since 05/02/2014

LOL at people that think rep matters since 11/02/2014

at people picking JBL, that was the worst and most boring reign ever, not even close to being a successful one.

John Cena is turning heel soon

All hail to Ulfric you are the High King

And when Sovngarde beckons everyone of us dies

We drink to our youth to the days come and gone
For the age of oppression is now nearly done

It got a little boring towards 2005, but worst? You're stretching it big time.

His matches were great and he always found a way to retain but a lot of his promos were fucking painful. In the "gets under your skin" way rather than being just outright bad. Every week they gave him 10 minutes of mic time at least and he would say the same shit. "I AM A WRESTLING GOD AND AT _______, I'M GOING TO BEAT YOU! I AM A TRUE AMERICAN HERO!" followed by some generic insult to whoever he's facing, such as insulting Mexicans against Eddie, calling Cena a thug. Then after the PPV, he would spend 15 minutes basically repeating that and talking about how badly he beat his opponent. He did have some hilarious promos, though. Mostly the one about kids chanting his name on their breakfast table every day after waking up.
