It is for me. I can't remember the last time I watched Smackdown. And I have been watching Raw less and less recently. But I watch NXT in full every week.
Smackdown sucks. I remember in 2004-2006 when Smackdown was awesome and I tuned in every week religiously. Now I never watch it, I don't even bother recording it and skipping through the boring bits anymore, just lost all interest completely.
I DVR it because if I don't, my husband fusses. But we fast forward through all the RAW recaps, and that's at least a half hour right there, plus the commercials and the didn't-we-just-watch-this-match-on-monday matches and anything involving Khali, Hornswoggle, Del Rio, and that fat asshole Brodus Clay. So basically we watch the opening segment, fast forward for a bit, watch the inevitable mid-show match involving Miz or Ziggler, a tag team match if it isn't a repeat, then skip through the ME to see if anything interesting happens.
So yeah, fuck SD. Last year it was good as hell though, it really just depends on what they do with it. And I watch Raw every week and NXT when I remember, and ME if the advertised match involves Miz, Ziggler, Ryback, Team Hell No, or Rhodes Scholars.
I started watching NXT when it took over FCW, and I look forward to NXT more than I do Raw most of the times. I think it is just a fresh of breath air. Plus, who doesn't love Dusty Rhodes as a GM lol?
I DVR all three but I find I only watch RAW and NXT. Smackdown episodes build up over the weeks and I end up deleting them all without watching one. I trace it back to when Sandow made more frequent appearances on RAW. Even before that, he was the only reason I watched Smackdown at all.
RAW is the soap opera, NXT is the wrestling. I love the small arena atmosphere Full Sail provides aswell.
Raw is the show where all the storylines get furthered, NXT is the show where the next crop of upcoming talent is showcased, SmackDown is just filler that never advances anything and Raw recaps. The only reason I'm watching SmackDown now is because GOAT #2, John Bradshaw Layfield is on commentary for 2 hours.
I guess that I am the oddball, but I sometimes miss NXT, I have not watch NXT for the past three weeks but plan on this week to watch it but I never miss RAW or SD.
I have a limit to how much WWE I can be bothered taking in during a week. Raw and NXT are already pushing me to the verge of burnout, and I tune in and out during the former while often skipping weeks of the latter.
Not my case. I only watch RAW, SmackDown and Main Event weekly, I have never watched a full NXT show, just 4 or 5 segments of it in all my life. Hell, I have ever watched more Saturday Morning Slam than NXT.
I am loving NXT, mainly because I am interested in up and coming talent. I haven't watched SD in three months... maybe if it was live but I just read the spoilers. Never watched Main Event either. It just doesn't have anything that's telling me why I should watch it!
I skip through Smackdown and watch NXT every week.
