Sheamus and the World Heavyweight Title

I feel like they need to get this belt off him soon. I like Sheamus and I think he's improved a ton since he first won the WWE Championship in 2009 but I feel like his title reign has gotten really stale. I know it was poorly booked with his 578787878 matches against Del Rio but I think they need to have Ziggler Cash-In as soon as possible and then give him a good solid long reign and move Sheamus onto something else. The more I hear about him keeping the belt until Wrestlemania the more I'm scared that it will happen and this uninteresting stale reign will continue and I don't want that. I think for Smackdown to get more a fresh feel to it needs a new champion and some fresh main event feuds that don't invovle the square of back-and-forth nothing that is Sheamus/Ziggler/Orton/Del Rio. Give Ziggler or someone new the belt, move Sheamus onto to something else, maybe on Raw and freshen things up. I don't feel like Smackdown can get better with the same champion for a long period of time at this point.

Re: Sheamus and the World Heavyweight Title

Don't worry. Ziggler will cash in soon and become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

I accept Hayley Williams rep.

Re: Sheamus and the World Heavyweight Title

I think Sheamus has had some good matches during his reign. He's not an amazing wrestler but given the right opponent he can have great matches. Where he lacks the most is mic work and character depth. I mean he just repeats the same garbage over and over and it's really boring to watch.

Re: Sheamus and the World Heavyweight Title

They really should have Ziggler cash in at HIAC. Have Sheamus retain against Big Show & then have Show angrily attack Sheamus. Then Ziggler comes out & cashes in. He's been champ for 6 months now & it's been pretty lackluster. His feuds are boring & his segments are horrendous.

Re: Sheamus and the World Heavyweight Title

Exactly. There are long regins that are worse being long, Punk's current reign, a couple of Cena's long one, the Age of Orton. This isn't even close to on their level. It's just a boring lackluster title reign that feels like it's continuing because there is nothing better for them to do. Ziggler needs the belt

Re: Sheamus and the World Heavyweight Title

my prediction is a Hell in a Cell he retains it against Big Show then Ziggler cashes in Money in the Bank wins the belt and eventually loses it to Alberto del Taco

Re: Sheamus and the World Heavyweight Title

It certainly does seem like they're treading water with him and champion. They seem to have run out of things for him to do (although one could certainly make the case that they never had anything for him to do, what with his 100 matches against Del Rio and all) now that they've gone to the "A new challenger appears!" angle with Big Show that came out of nowhere. When the only bullet you've got left in your idea gun is "Here comes another heel and now he wants the belt!" it's time to call it a day.

Re: Sheamus and the World Heavyweight Title

At this point I don't care what happens unless Ziggler gets the title.
If Cena or Big Show won, I really couldn't care less about following the storyline, but I guess I would have too.
Want to see what's going to happen to Del Rio now, I've realised the only reason I watched Del Rio/Sheamus matches in because of Del Rio.

The Miz
Chris Jericho
Daniel Bryan
CM Punk

Re: Sheamus and the World Heavyweight Title

It's not entirely Sheamus's fault to be fair. He had a good title matches with Bryan and Ziggler at Extreme Rules and No Way Out and a good Fatal Four Way match with Orton, Jericho, and Del Rio at Over The Limit, but since Over the Limit, Sheamus has been in a non-stop feud with Del Rio and has beaten Ziggler in several matches. He's had very little variety and a very stale feud. It would be much better if he had a heel that gave him a challenge and that could carry the feud on the mic. Still, it has been a lackluster reign.

Now the issue with taking the title off of him is that no one else is booked well enough right now to take it. Unless you want an Orton or Big Show reign. So until someone is built up, Sheamus really won't lose the title. Even cashing it in would be weak at this point with Ziggler losing to Sheamus so much as it is.

Lameus is one of the worst champions I have ever seen. He's the reason I don't watch WWE as much as I used to
