i mentioned how topics like this and Bryan fans in general tend to overrate him in almost every discussion about him. not my fault Bryan fans are harping so aggressively on me saying Bryan is a midcarder and being petty to boot, but i also SAID they would do that, so it's not surprising either. i'm just responding to it. i already stated what i thought about his crowd work, it's good when he's doing his comedy routine Yes/No stuff, but when he's supposed to be serious, it's nothing special at all. not convincing or anything.

midcarder is supposed to be what Daniel Bryan is. he has the tag team championship and won't be in the Main Event more often than not. you take it as an insult because you're a Daniel Bryan fan.

No one will ever work the crowd like the rock. And to be honest, Bryan doesn't come close.

He would be close to the Rock if weren't depicted as a joke in front of the top guys. They won't let him reach that level.

Night after WM28.. The Rock was talking and the crowd were chanting "YES! YES! YES!"..

I lost respects because of Miz on my avatar.

Re: Is Bryan the best wrestler at working the crowd since the Rock?

D Bryan is VERY good at what he does with the crowd, however Rock is otherwordly great in that aspect and I don't know if anybody can reduplicate that, he's the undisputed Nr.1 guy in wrestling history when it comes to getting the live audience going. At certain times during his promos it sounds as if the Rock has actual conversations with the crowd, they start chanting responses or saying anything at the palm of his hand that he wants them to say, it goes way beyond just simple catchphrases such as "yes" "no" or "...and millions" etc.

Back on topic, I do think he may be one of the top guys of this era when it comes to crowd involvement, if not the best. He gets good pops regularily and as I mentioned, has the ability to get the fans to respond to him the way he wants. Apart from that, ever since he teamed with Kane, despite them beeing two heels beeing aligned together the fans still boo the face tag teams they are facing and cheer Team Friendship simply because of the personality they show during their skits.

no, he's obviously not anywhere close to the Rock, and anytime he has to say anything other than Yes and No, in a serious fashion (you know, not the MIDCARD comedy routine he is now), he sounds like he's being held at gunpoint. you can't take it serious.
1) I was never comparing him to the Rock. I'm saying that he has the crowd in the palm of his hand better than anyone else AFTER the Rock. Though he has a lot of similarities with Kurt Angle, since others mentioned it - I forgot about him.
2) He's taken a while to warm up to the WWE style and system, and while I don't take it 'serious' (he's comedic) he's entertaining as f***.
3) Midcard comedy routine? Are you serious? Well enjoy Sheamus calling people 'Bertie', smacking his chest and yelling 'fella'. Lol that's definitely main event worthy.

It doesn't matter who Daniel Bryan is facing. He is getting reactions no matter what.

And at WM-People were booing Cena and chanting Cena sucks more than cheering Rock and chanting Rocky

There have only been a few times in a Cena match where the opponent got a crowd chant while facing Cena, and that's where Daniel Bryan comes in. Daniel Bryan is one of those guys. While facing Cena, there weren't just "Let's go Cena, Cena sucks," chants. There were "Yes," and "No," chants as well. That's amazing for any wrestler to get the crowd involved like that, especially against Cena.

So is Daniel Bryan the best at working the crowd since The rock? No, I believe Cena is. But Bryan is doing a pretty damn good job.
This is true

Bryan is the best at controlling crowd since Cena.

Cena was the best since Rock.

Nobody compared Bryan to Rock.
Rock is the best at controlling crowds.
The question is just that Bryan is best SINCE Rock.I believe Bryan is best since Cena at controlling crowds.

Re: Is Bryan the best wrestler at working the crowd since the Rock?

D-B is great, no point in arguing that. but being best in working with the crowd since The Rock?
what about Cena, what about Punk, what about Edge, what about many others.
Some ppl have a short memory here and some try to make D-B better as he is.

Thankful for CM Punk making me watching WWE again.
6/27/11 is same important as 6/23/96

A legend never dies: June 18, 1962 - June 13, 2009

Not removing until:
[] Shelton Benjamin makes a comeback
[] Charlie Haas makes a comeback
[] Kenny Dykstra makes a comeback
[] Raw makes again a 6.5 or even a higher rating
[] John Morrison becomes WWE champion
[] CM Punk wins Royal Rumble
[] CM Punk and Daniel Bryan main eventing Wrestlemania in an iron man match (and so creating epic stuff as e.g. misawa and kawada did in their matches)
[] WWE pays tribute to Mitsuharu Misawa

Punk holding the title for 434 days was epic. it was the greatest reign in the history of wrestling (but not the way the reign ended):
4-3-4
4-3-4
4-3-4

The thing is, guys like Cena and Edge have 10 times the amount of credits to their name that Bryan does. All Bryan's ever accomplished is a US title reign and the B world title one time, which he won by a fluke, and now the tag titles. Those are Jack Swagger level accomplishments, not Cena and Edge level accomplishments. Nobody else around the level he's at is anywhere near the level of over he is. I don't think Cena and Edge were as over as Bryan when they were in the midcard, maybe Cena when he blinged out the US title but that's debateable. I don't like Bryan but he's absurdly popular to a level that's nearly impossible given that he's a midcarder who consistently loses.

What everyone really wants for Christmas:

There are definitely a few others who were better but that doesn't mean he isn't great and one of the best in the business right now.
