Re: Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara can save the WWE Tag Team division.
Tag team divisions being good = WWE being good.
When the Hart Foundation, Rockers, Demolition, Road Warriors, Fabulous Regeaus, British Bulldogs the WWF was exciting. Tag teams were the foundation of the show. Shawn Michaels talked about how cool it was when Hulk Hogan's match was on BEFORE a Rockers vs Hart Foundation match because it meant Vince knew that thr crowd would go home happy with a great match. The tag team's then produced some fantastic singles wrestlers as well: Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Davey Boy Smith, etc.
The second Tag team boom was even longer, and had Edge and Christian, The Hardys, New Age outlaws, The Dudleys, Hardcore Holly and 400lber Crash Holly, Viscera and Mark Henry, the Godfather and D'lo Brown, The acolytes.
this produced a staggering number of fantastic singles competitors: Edge, Jeff Hardy, Billy Gunn got a push for a while, christian, Matt Hardy had the best character according to PWI, Mark Henry came on late. Bubba Ray dudley is a big deal in TNA
bottom line, if the tag team division is good, the WWE will have great matches, and be able to groom future stars. There-in lies the problem. I don't see anyone on the current tag team roster that makes me go "wow that guy is really good" outside of Gabriel and he is small (even by todays standards) but I could be wrong.
Basically I think there needs to be a super team win the titles for a bit, like Rated-RKO did or Jeri-Show did, and reboot the tag team division by having the winner have to overcome a large amount of obstacles. It will make the titles seem more important and help re-energize the fans for the showdown.
