Undertaker vs. Brodus Clay?

I've seen a lot of praise given to Brodus Clay by many members on this site, and considering he is still young, he could be an asset to the youth movement. Within the youth movement, many wrestlers are receiving pushes, and I was just wondering what could be the best way to give Brodus a push. Then an idea of a Brodus-Taker feud popped into my head...

I was thinking of ways Brodus could make an impact, and I had the idea that Brodus should take out Taker on the first Raw or Smackdown after Wrestlemania. This would be a fitting storyline to raise Brodus to new heights, and be the best monster heel that has been seen in years. Also, it gives a reason as to the departure of the Undertaker, rather than him just randomly disappearing and appearing.

Some of you may think that he isn't ready for such a big role yet. But Taker has arguably worked with big men who are a lot less talented than Brodus, and it has been watchable. Also, I would argue that Brodus is the best big man to come along since Umaga - (he's definitely better than Snitsky, Mike Knox, Heidenreich, Khali, Mason Ryan, etc) - and we never got the feud between Taker and Umaga that a lot of people wanted.

What do you guys think? I think it's a win-win situation. For me, the only direction for Brodus is up as he will only improve. Discuss.

Currently marking for:

  • Undertaker
  • Zack Ryder
  • R-Truth
  • Alex Riley
  • Cody Rhodes
  • Trent Bareta
  • Uso Bros.
  • Beth Phoenix
  • Layla

Good luck Kharma with your pregnancy :-) . Can't wait until you are back destroying the divas!!

No. This Brodus is typical wwe "big man". I hate it already. Taker's career has been saddled with men like this since he started. Why waste his time?

Re: Undertaker vs. Brodus Clay?

I wouldn't go that far. A midcard feud is good enough.

On the topic of Brodus though, I just find it laughable that he was the runner up on NXT and has already been in the mainevent of SD and has appeared on both Raw and SD. While the winner (Curtis) is nowhere to be found.

Brodus does move well for a big guy. Keep your fingers crossed that he doesn't get thrown to the bottom of the pile like Wade Barrett (a token EC participant).

Re: Undertaker vs. Brodus Clay?

No. Too much, too soon. If anyone should injure Taker, it should be Barrett or Del Rio.

I'd like to see Clay start by going over Masters in a short feud, by breaking the Masterlock. That move is still very over, and he'd look dominant if he broke it. They've already had him power his way out of the Killswitch and the Spear, so it wouldn't just come from nowhere.

I can't take anyone serious with the name Brodus Clay or rocks a mo-hawk. Sorry not gonna happen.

Damien Sandow for champion.

Re: Undertaker vs. Brodus Clay?

off topic: I loved the Umaga character but I think it would have been 'Taker vs. Kamal all over again
