Re: What did you expect the WWE network was gonna be?

Before they made it clear what the WWE Network actually was I thought that it was going to be a television channel

Currently marking out for: Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Finn Balor, Ziggler, Ambrose, Rollins

I too thought it was going to be a channel. I really like that it wasn't though and ended up being an on demand service along with live scheduled programming. In a way, it is a channel as well, just more interactive..haha..

I still think its a steal... I don't regret subscribing to it.. 8 months on and still loving it!

Initially, a place where I could watch the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression Eras 24/7. I planned to watch every RAW and Smackdown from 98-2004.

Re: What did you expect the WWE network was gonna be?

I didn't imagine it'd be a burden on the company the way it is. I thought it was going to launch and be such a no-brainer, they'd have close to a million subs by the summer. It was surprising to me how many people didn't have it during WM30 weekend earlier this year in New Orleans. I'm sitting in the area waiting for HOF to start and I'm watching the pre-show on my phone. Several people ask me how the Network is and say how they haven't "gotten around to it" yet.

While I enjoy the Network, it's easy to see the effect it's had on the product. I wouldn't say it's entirely negative, but I do miss the individual PPV sets and different colored ropes. I thought we'd get the same PPV quality just for $9.99 now. Which in hindsight doesn't make financial sense (lol), so I see the reason for a slight cutback.

Still, that's what I imagined. I also thought it'd be a place for next-day RAW and SD -- an all inclusive hub of WWE programming. I was planning on dropping cable for good just for WWE Network, but that isn't the case.

In terms of the library, I didn't have many expectations. I knew having every episode of RAW and Nitro up was gonna take a minute, so that's okay.

GOING TO WRESTLEMANIA 31. Section C218, row 23, Seats 7-8!
WENT TO WRESTLEMANIA XXX! Section 156, row 15, seats 3-4!
WENT TO WRESTLEMANIA XXVIII! Section 122, row 26, seats 7-8.

Jackie Moore never did Playboy because she had enough nipple slips on live television to satisfy me for years LOL

Not Removing Until Victoria, Jackie Moore, Ivory, and Terri Runnels return and form the Cougar World Order. I'll wait.

Re: What did you expect the WWE network was gonna be?

I knew they were going to take awhile uploading stuff, but they're really dragging their feet with some of the shows. I also expected more Network original special or shows.

Re: What did you expect the WWE network was gonna be?

Like others have mentioned, I thought it'd be a TV channel like the NFL Network or something.

Re: What did you expect the WWE network was gonna be?

I pretty much thought it would be what it ended up being. I did expect a lot more than we intially got as far as episodes of old WWE/WCCW/ECW/WCW programming. Obviously that has gotten better as time progressed but while I hardly expected the entire WWE archive to be On Demand I was very surprised how little of it was actually there initially, and how seemingly random some of the programs they had on actually were.

Although even in the beginning what we got along with every past WWE, WCW and ECW PPV and new PPV's was more than worth the price. Just admit I initially had my expectations too high.

I also expected it to be a success. I had no idea what number of subscribers they were trying to get and how many more people that was than ordered PPV's. But I was certain it would be a no brainer. So was surprised it ended up being such a burden on WWE. Although based on what I read now, WWE should have seen it coming. I wasn't privy to the numbers and stats I learned since then. But they damn well should have been.

I expected nothing, expecting things when WWE is involved is a frivolous business.

Re: What did you expect the WWE network was gonna be?

I was honestly disappointed with both the WWE Network and UFC fight pass. They took forever to update their libraries and both are extremely counter intuitive. Like if I was to watch Raw from Jan - Dec of 97 I had to look for it individually and nothing like Netflix where they play automatically. The UFC Fight Pass is even worst, Pride FC was known for their pageantry and entrances and UFC decided to cut them.
