Re: WWE Network in the UK
Well, if they want it to be a success they have to give the same content and the same value that what the US get, if they don't then they're going to see a loss of potential customers, it seemed really unfair with what they did with the Canadian launch, but from what I hear they wanted to get it out quick and plan to launch it fully, which I hope happens for them because I found it really unfair.
It's not as though the network have licencing issues to address because they own the content, it'll probably be the same in regards to the whole Raw/Smackdown 30 days thing (which I think has also lost them a lot of potential customers because fans wanted the network to keep up with the product, specially in different time zones when Raw and PPV's air at 1 am - 4 am when they're on during the times when people have to be up the next day) but they do have 'This week in WWE' at least ... which is a pretty good catch up show that I've heard a lot of people have been watching, so it might not be too bad, but they at least need to advertise this.
I do kinda wonder when the app will come onto the stores to get also, of course the WWE app is already available on the mobile devices but I wonder when the PSN store will get it and Xbox etc... I imagine it'll be a week or so before the launch or something.
But they really do need to make sure they give the best available content to all places, otherwise people are going to catch wind of this and they're going to lose out on things if they don't match up with what the other places are getting.
I very much doubt it'll be a Sky channel though, if it was then they can expect a huge loss, most people don't even have Sky any more due to it's ridiculous prices and not being worth it, people either can't afford it or just simply don't think it's worth the money any more, not when there are other options about and most people settle for freeview now too.
